    Dr Kwon, this is excellent instruction! I am 52, played golf from age 10 - 45, then took about 6 years off. For whatever reason, when I started playing again in May of 2021, my timing was poor (not surprising), but my sequence (kinematic chain), was horrible. I have been doing anything, and everything I could to get this straightened out. My lessons over the past two months have helped a great deal, primarily with my irons, but not the driver. I have been watching the rope drill videos for the past two days, then went to West Marine here in Newport Beach this morning, bought a 7 foot section of 3/4", double-braided nylon rope, and have been working on the drill this afternoon, and evening. Hearing what a "mature transition", and seeing it is one thing. FEELING the mature transition, while doing the drill, was my eureka moment. The fact you mention keeping the shoulders closed at the start of the transition, and a deep shoulder turn, is very helpful. Lastly, the fact you say the backswing must be "forceful" is a huge help. If force precedes movement, how could we not have a forceful backswing? I really believe this is the key to getting my driver swing "synced" up properly, and delivering effortless power. I will report back in a few days.

      The BS can be a bit steeper than the DS in the actual swings. With a rope, however, it is difficult as you cannot manipulate the rope due to its flexibility.

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  Před 2 lety +2

      Different. The center of pivot is a stationary point around which the body rotates at a given instant. And it changes as the swing progresses. Center of rotation in Newtonian perspective is the center of mass of the body which definitely moves all the time.
