It looks as though you have to lock down the hitch on the pin or ball, by LIFTING it as you try to lock it, by then pushing it backwards and down. My boat trailer does the same thing. A 2,000 pound pull on a rock or stump will be about all you can pull against the middle-top knuckle's joint without collapsing the inner tube of the hydraulic ram itself. Be careful how much you beat on it, and it'll last you for YEARS And Years and years....if you grease it after every use that is. Remember this: "Grease Is Cheap And Parts Are Not" ...and you will have a blast with this thing. Decent presentation, video was pretty good too. Ake sure the tow ball is the same size as the coupler. There's a nut on the bottom of the coupler they might be too tight I'd you can't get the coupler latch closed.
