Hi Michael. You were asking how the day was going today. I would say that today is a 40% day as my right hip that was replaced almost 3 years ago in a less than successful operation is giving a fair bit of pain and discomfort today. I've complained about it to the doctors, and they say that there is nothing wrong with it. They just prescribed pain killer patches that are supposed to work for 7 days, but they often don't do much good or last a week. The pharmacist in the chemists said they are industrial strength patches, and I must be in a lot of pain to have been prescribed them ! So what are the doctors not admitting to, and nowadays, I don't really trust doctors and what they say to me. I jokingly say NHS stands for No Hope Service.
Don’t get some of the CZcamsrs to deliver for you, stick with the professional firms you already use like Manners. No place for “Plastic Truckers” when you want the job done right and safely.
My turn for a little rant, you complain about cost of diesel for your lorry, yet you leave that BIG 6 cylinder diesel engine in your lorry ticking over for endless time while parked up....little rant over....oh one more, when I was a trucky with a TK Bedford, 7.5 ton, (never took any notice if those figures....lol,) my ramps were 3 times the length of yours and made out of steel, no wood or ally, all steel, it took all my pudding to stay in my belly to lift them up and slide them the full length on trucks body.........rants now over....
My lorry is getting old so a silly non starting issue when away from home would cost me far more than any fuel. As a young lad I was always told all the time it’s running it’s fine so it’s a mental thing with my head. I agree with your comment but my head tells me differently
I think on tick over most of the fuel goes back to tank doesn’t it? Remember old fitter telling me donkeys years ago to start lorry on frosty mornings and leave her running 20mins and it warm the tank up with the return fuel . And you right Micheal .. when I had an old tired lorry when I started out I used to fire her up in the morning and only switch off when I got back at night !! If the wheels don’t turn you don’t earn ! And also fuel costs you have you really monitor fuel cards we found. Have a good summer season and keep up good work Cheers Nick
Careful with how you post? You have to account for all your hours HGV driving and ( OTHER WORK ) you work seven days a week and take your card out and do other work. You shouldn't be doing this my friend. Friendly advice, thats all

I have been investigated by DVSA when someone reported me. All ok I have it covered and all ok
