    THE SUBSTRATE
    Prepping the surface of the countertops is easy. Most surfaces just need to be sanded (80-100 Grit) then wiped clean. Granite and Marble will need the sealer removed. Tile will need the grout lines filled with Bondo and sanded smooth before applying our Countertop Kits.

    How To Prep Countertops: • How To Prep Countertop...
    EPOXY PRIMER COAT
    Priming the Countertops is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the countertop surface is completely covered. Wait 1 hr. (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Base Coat.
    METALLIC EPOXY COAT
    There are so many different applications for our metallic epoxy coat. In this video, we show you the dirty pour technique. When you place your order you'll receive step by step tutorial videos that will show you how to apply this part depending on the look you're going for!
    HIGH WEAR TOP COAT
    We offer 2 different Performance Engineered Top Coats. Glaze Coat is our High Build Top Coat that lays out like glass and adds depth to the Countertop. The Urethane Top Coat comes with the option to have a High Gloss or Matte finish. It needs to be rolled out super thin and leaves a minor texture on the countertop. You apply it within 24 hrs. of installing your Countertop Kit

    Leggari Countertop Kits were designed to transform your countertop, tabletop, or desktop into something new and beautiful by coating your existing countertop or pre-built wood countertop. It's best to pull it before the resin is completely cured, that way no tape gets stuck in the hard resin against the wall. Also, we don't recommend a suuuper strong tape. Painter's tape does just fine👍

    Do you have anything that i can apply to a late nineties cultured marble vanity top (with single sink) in my bathroom? It's that yellow-ish cultured marble that was popular back in the day. It's 55 inches wide (long) and 22 inches deep (wide) depending on how you look at it. It has a built in rear backsplash , and it has the optional left-side splash that is a separate piece. I have no idea which way to go on color but I'll probably do white-gray-ish pattern for some new VINYL Floor tile. So I'm looking for color ideas. The Vanity is the real maple wood (smooth) , so it's a very light stain brown color and very nice wood but I'll paint that whatever would go with the Top Epoxy coating color decision.

    What material is the surface of the kitchen cabinet made of so you can pour epoxy on it?

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  Před 2 lety +1

      You can pour the epoxy on wood, formica, concrete, granite!

    Does this end up smelling though? I have a lot of epoxy art projects in my house and the resin just smells awful. Some have also started to yellow. Does it depend on the quality of epoxy? And is food safe and all that?

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  Před měsícem +1

      Quality definitely matters! Once cured, our epoxy is safe. We'd still recommend using cutting boards and such for food preparation, just like with most other countertop surfaces. Our epoxy is zero VOC, virtually odorless and waterproof. For more on our epoxy 👉 leggari.com/product/metallic-epoxy/💯

      It depends on what surface you are planning to install our product on. For some you can just prime, others require sanding and priming. Check out these videos where we coat over multiple kinds of surface 👇

    Was that countertop underneath epoxy also. I'm just wandering if you can do epoxy over epoxy if you want to start over.

      Yes you can install epoxy over epoxy! This is our studio countertop where we have coated several times over the existing epoxy surfaces. Our WB Primer makes it possible 👉 leggari.com/product/wb-primer/

      @@LeggariProducts Awesome, I'll look into it, also my first design came out nice enough, I probably mixed too many colors cause I didn't get what I was looking for so I want to start over. I never put the top coat on but it's been a few months now since I did it. I would assume I would still need to sand it down first, correct?

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  Před měsícem

      @@nwalker2619 Yes! Sanding it down before top coating is always best when the resin has had longer than 24 hours to cure.

      You need to be careful with Your colors. If you are a Constant cooker I would stay away with white next to your stove Because it will take on a color Something between an Amber/ dark yellowish look... Of course it can be sanded and A top coat added again
      But you can only do that a Once or twice before you're into your color coat.....
