My poor little snuggle baby just died of FIP. She went from fine to kind of sluggish to showing upper respiratory symptoms to horribly ill to dead within one week. She was diagnosed post-mortem. The vets (both her regular vet and the after-hours emergency vet that we visited several times through this) thought it was Cat Flu and kept giving her subcutaneous fluid and sending us home with antibiotics, but I could tell there was something seriously, seriously wrong. We are devastated. I had never heard of this disease before and now I can't stop researching any information I can get my hands on. Thank you for this video. It has helped me understand what happened to my beautiful, silly, loving little Bella and is helping me to move forward in my grief. ♥️

My best friend went throught the same this week... she shared to me her concerns on monday, she hadn't moved from the couch for previous 24 hours and she wasn't playfull like she was a couple weeks ago.. she was in the vet by the next day, tuesday morning, blood screens showed liver damage, she was hospitalized, pluged on catethers for fluid and force fed by tube... Tursdays news were that fluid was in her abdomen and a sonogram was needed in another specialized clinic, no appointments available before 5 more days. Unfortunatly on friday morning, the kitty's health had degrated to the point that she had no more muscle tone, and that she would not make it out of it and that we should come say her goodbyes and let her go.. 3 minutes after being in my friends arms, while the vet was in the back preparing the sedation, she gave her last breath and we both saw her soul leave her eyes, we knew. We imidiatly call a technician who then called the vet who confirmed she had died, naturally, in the arm of her mommy. This happened yesterday. I am still completly shooked by what we have experienced in such a short period of time. Her cats are her babies as she doesn't desire to have any children .. The cat was adopted 7 months ago from a rescue shelter, where she probably came in contact with this disease.. we hope her 2 other cats wont developpe this as they were really close. This disease is horrible...

I'm learning about this virus because I had to put one of my cat's down because he had it. Glad that I found both videos.

something to think about- at 13:50 prednisolone was discussed but prednisone was pictured which may confuse people. prednisone is not suitable for cats.

My poor Tiger (6years old) was confirmed to have FIP over a week ago, we suspect it was a dry FIP going to the accute wet stage. After 6 treatments (daily injections for 84 days total) i see a big difference and i suspect he is on his way to be cured. ofcourse we have to wait out the 84 days/injections and then observe him for 84 days for a relapse

You’re very lucky. My sweet boy was attacked with dry FIP and it completely took over his neurological system…

@@jazminb4218 he passed observation last januari and is cured. He turned neuro too but even that is curable if treated on time and with the right dose. Fipwarriors, of which i am now one of the admins to help treat others, has cured many 10 thousands world wide now. i am currently coaching 150 cases or so

For anyone new, look up gs441524. It’s a new treatment for fip. I repeat, look it up. Don’t just go off of my word
