I'd say these two things are characteristics of Romantic era music that have not aged well at all. Good vid though
Hi David, love these videos! At 6:16 into the video, did you mean that it's better to have the SIXTH above the seventh in the Vsub6 rather than the seventh above the sixth?
Having the seventh above would create the minor 9th interval..
UGH, you're completely correct. I misspoke (and miswrote my slide!) there! Thanks for the catch!
yes!!! I almost memorized that wrong! I looked at my textbook and realized there was a contradiction and took it to my professor. I was about to make a comment too. But you beat me to it.
@@DavidEFarrell Maybe you can go in and edit the video with text explaining that it is a mistake.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?
I was dumb lost my password. I love any help you can offer me
@Otis Clyde Instablaster ;)
Your videos have been a huge help for me as an online student. I have watched every video for your class up to this one, since they follow the same textbook I am using "Tonal Harmony". Do you have any videos for "Tonal Harmony in the Late Nineteenth Century"?
Glad the videos have been useful! I don't have videos that align with that book specifically, sorry.
What happened to the 3rd in the I chord in 4:52?
Ugh fair point. Best for the alto to move down towards it rather than stay in place. Good eye!
