    I'd be be interested to see the actual production numbers.
    - How long does it take to rest.
    - fuel
    - insurance.
    - maintenance etc.
    Looks impressive but it dosen't exactly drop them straight on the landing.
    Certainly from a safety aspect it a no brainer.
    And your eliminating the labour element which is always a good for the $$$

    Back in Canada a back in Canada a, must be the only place in the world with a hill..... hope you took your smoko with you mate cause stuff walking back up to get it, thats bloody steep!!

    a flat base machine gives you the best 'feel' of how steep and dodgy the hill is, if your sitting in a level cab it would be easy to get 'forget' where you are. most levelers only go to 30 odd degs anyway. these guys go 45 plus.

    Perfect block for two manual fellers. Just think how quick with no limbing. Just drop em on the ground.Makes my old fingers itch just looking at it.

    Finally someone else that understands leveling machines are more unsafe, I work in the same blocks as this machine does and he goes to about 55-60 degrees. They have just put a second 1 on the hill

    to anyone who says a tilter is safer than these machines when you go to throw a tree in a bunch on 55% grade and you spin because your on rocky ground or mid winter you will realize really fast why a tilter can be more dangerous.

  • @englebertbuzzcutt9915
    @englebertbuzzcutt9915 Před 10 lety +2

    will go to 45 degrees which is 100%. 70% is only 35 degrees. 35% is a mere 19 deg...

    mmm a lot of top soil is going down hill wonder how next growth is going to grow ...ran buncher for 32 years,,20 years on tilters ran a old drott 40 with just side tilt then a 27 then the prentice when it came out and ran them all ,,,

  • @evil2rs
    @evil2rs Před 11 lety

    @ironginger These custom machines can go over 45 degrees and still be safe. Use your brain before posting stupid comments . Leveling machines are less safe because you get a false sence of security for when he shit hits the fan and u slide. The ONLY advantage is they are more comfortable to opperate on slopes

  • @35ccook

    amazes me they didn't use a levelling machine to begin with!

    This is not a "custom" unit. Looks like a tiger cat 830 LC to me. You guys need to see some of the slopes they have harvested around chetwynd bc Canada.

    shoot man that aint nothing!!!!! id put my Bell anywhere that machine will go......... LOL just kidding but id sure trade my bell off for one of these climbmax machines !!!! IMPRESSIVE

  • @muner007
    @muner007 Před 11 lety

    They have and are more dangerous. If they slide and turn the machine will be on more of an angle.

  • @harlanmcdiarmid
    @harlanmcdiarmid Před 11 lety

    Also why would your tracks ever be sideways when working a slope? .....a real slope anyway

    That is a feller not a harvester. And if levellers are no good for hills you might want to come over to Alberta Canada and tell are buncher operators that are going up to 60% in them and while you are at it tell the skidder operators there machines are only good for 35% while they are climbing up there to get it down. Better off with a tilter on steep shit

    • @muner007
      @muner007 Před 10 lety

      Come on 60%... This machine will do over 60 degrees and the winch is to get back up

    • @wspycher1006
      @wspycher1006 Před 10 lety

      I do realize that. All I stated was that it's a feller not a harvester. As well as other people have commented that an auto leveller is only good for 40 maybe 50%.
      So like I stated tilters will go up that shit as well
      Yes I agree with some people saying they give you a false sense of security but I am working with a guy that has been felling 30+ years and he will take the tilter places they won't go with the flat bottom machine. Does that say anything

    • @muner007
      @muner007 Před 10 lety +1

      No, this is a custom built machine that goes up to 70degrees NOT %. this company has tried levelers and they DONT go as steep
