Happy Sunday everyone! I’m dropping this extra video today- as I actually have a whole weeks worth of videos planned (who am i?!). Are your kids eating ALL the food like mine are?!
It’s crazy how much more kids eat during the summer especially when they are active such as swimming …they definitely work up an appetite!
And I’m the kind of person I don’t care if my kids are hungry I’m going to let them have a snack…now if it’s within an hr of me fixing dinner then I’ll tell them no. But otherwise I’ll let them have a snack!
I pack my kids lunches for school 95% of the time…so we’ve always ate the majority of meals from home….but I swear during the summer my budget doubles…. But my kids are also very active. Like they’ve spent 45 hrs already outside in the last week.
I am the exact same way! Unfortunately I came from a family where food was restricted, and I think it did me more harm than good in the long run. I will never deny my kids food, I may make them have fruit or something.

Due to the cost of everything we have cut out most convenience food items. Cooking from scratch will yield way more food for your money.
We do use rotisserie chicken and frozen chicken chunks. We occasionally buy croissants or muffins but that is about it. I need to get our spending down.
Unpopular opinion, but I don't think kids need to eat all day. Three well-balanced meals and a snack at 10 and 3 are what works for us, otherwise they will literally eat all day.
Hey Brittany, I could play with the round, plastic "64-ounce" Hellmann's mayonnaise jars from Costco and Sam's Club. I could hold the 2 jars altogether with my both hands. Or I could hold the jar with my both hands. I could drum on the plastic lids. The jars could be ideal to be thoroughly clean and separately have candies, cookies, money and more. I like the round, plastic, gallon-sized Duke's mayonnaise jars.
Been there. Kids are food monsters. Now it is grandbabies. Lol

I remember when our 3 boys were teenagers , in the summer they ate us out of house and home ,and when they were working summer jobs and packing coolers I couldn’t keep enough sandwich fixings in the house , plus all the extras 😆good luck keeping the pantry and fridge full 😊
It seems like an impossible task right now! My best friend has 4 boys, they aren’t quite teenagers yet but lord I’m sure she will be going broke soon trying to feed them haha

Nice haul! Sometimes sweets will increase hunger in some people.
Interesting. We actually limit the amount of sweets our kids get though. Like for instance the brownies, they would be able to have 1-2 of those after dinner IF they were good all day.

Right?! It’s the only reason I’m ready for school to start back, cause of how much they are eating!!
Teenage boys I swear can eat an entire buffet line at a time. My kids ate more as they got older. Eating spurts often happened before the growth spurts. Teenage boys tend to eat more then girls in our family and some started eating more at age 10 instead of 12 or 13. Just a heads up. My brother as a teen could eat an entire Tony's pizza and still eat more lol. Just an age thing as their metabolism and body changes.

Do Americans only eat prepackaged or processed food?
Yes we absolutely hate fresh fruit and vegetables and we only like to eat white bread. Then add on all the sugar in the soda and energy drinks we like to drink.

My 13 year old grandson learned about skinny pop popcorn in the microwave. He is gluten and dairy free, so it helped on my recent visit.
