Best upgrade I made? GoTo mount. Went from a hand turned Alt/Az mount to a AVX from HPS (with guiding)

Brilliant advice matey. Precise information shared in such short amount of time.

This was a great video. Your #5 upgrade brought to mind the difficulty I experience with your website. I feel showing those optional upgrade products which are compatible with a given OTA in that OTA's webpage Recommended Accessories section, would help many customers. Which focuser is compatible with an OTA, IMHO presently requires a sales assistant. COMA correctors and reducers are a similar upgrade. I would like such products which are appropriate for an OTA to appear in the recommended accessories section for each OTA.

I agree with OAG but simply because not enough companies are offering flexible mounting options. I see a need for two main things across this industry: 1) suppliers offering cables of varying lengths. 2) more brackets, saddles, etc in leu of mounting guidescopes properly. Both of those things are a need that aren’t readily met that would greatly help the community. The biggest upgrade I feel I ever make is always aperture. Can’t agree enough. That’s dead obvious when doing planetary photography. Aperture increase is always that thing that I say to myself “man, what took me so long.” Nice video but I truly wish the industry would be more flexible with guide scope mounting options. With the sensitivity of modern cmos guide cameras OAG should be a fossil by now.

Thanks for this great video and great advices, as a beginner I’m just going to skip right to number one I think mono camera will be my next upgrade from a DSLR but still will keep imaging with DSLR’s.

note: this is deep sky astrophotography, not planetary or lunar astrophotography.

I switched to an OAG specifically to reduce the weight of my setup. I think that's an often overlooked reason to try an OAG. Differential flexure isn't always the real problem, but is often used as an excuse by those chasing guiding "ghosts."

Hello! Yes, having an OAG to reduce the weight of your imaging setup is another huge benefit.

Very nicely done Teagan and all good suggestions. Can I ask which EAF was on your 10" Quattro? My ROR observatory is now operational and looking to automate work on my Quattro. I've been told the ZWO EAF works, but not "directly" mountable?? Thanks!

Hey guys! Thanks for the advise. Keep up the good work. Just one little thing: when are you going to be able to sell outside the US? Lets say Mexico?

Hello! Unfortunately, we're not offering shipping to Mexico at this time - thank you!
