"C"est magnifique!". This is a splendor and I guess you may be reluctant to make models from these brand new parts. A box like this n°10 outfit was a boy's dream when I was learning with Meccano in the late 50's in France. Never had this beautiful box but learned a lot with meccano. The design on French Meccano was a little different (same parts, same box but with different graphics). All the sheet-metal parts were in blue with thin yellow stripes crossed like with a lesh. Most of long parts were in gold but as you know French Meccano was a bit different when it came to colours. I wonder what was the production year of your outfit 1952?
Thank you Kevin , The number ten set is something I have always wanted , they are very few and far between , so I have restored an old one , which will never be played with , just cherished as a nice keepsake , Michael
Are the parts fixed to the boards with wire or string? Also, is it a continuous wire/string holding all the parts onto a board or are parts individually mounted?
It is not for building any models with , but simply just an example of how these sets were as they left the factory. There are plenty of used parts out there to build with. Using this set would simply undo all the effort to restore it , and then end up like all the rest. Sometimes it is just nice to see something so perfect .
Amazing outfit ! 👍🏻 Do you know the RAL references for the red green colours ? My own set seems having darker refs ... perhaps due to French origin though 😶

In the states we had something similar called erector sets. As a kid I wanted one, but got the off brand version instead.
What was the off-brand version?
