What makes a community? Often, it’s shared traditions, experiences and values. In Lexington, that tradition is basketball and the team is the University of Kentucky Wildcats. But Rupp Arena, home to the Wildcats, needed to modernize to keep pace with its fans and continue to serve as a civic hub. By preserving portions of the original structure while adding modern amenities and a new architectural facade, the storied facility is transformed into a true center of gravity for the city.
