- The 2018 NCAA Tournament has been shocking to say the least so far. Only a handful of powerhouse, traditional basketball programs are left, as we enter the Sweet 16 this weekend.
Our March Madness takeover of our “Royal Key” series continues, as we put the spotlight on one of those remaining programs, the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Ya not that bad of a deal for NCAA (or year removed high school) requirement before the NBA because how many other Kentucky STUDENTS get this kind of treatment en route to their education? players on the bench get this access too... and no student loan debt? i know the argument is that the kids are making money for the college -- but they're getting shoes, massage lounges, education, and dope facilities for playing ball.

I’ve been a UK fan my entire life. I bleed blue like my father did and my siblings still do. My entire family except two are UK fans. They live close to Louisville so we give them a hard time when UK and Louisville play each year. We used to get together and have a watch party when they played. It’s become hard to get everyone together over the last few years. I stand behind UK win or loose but I hope they have a much better season than they had last year. I can’t wait for the season to begin. GO BIG BLUE!!

I have to say Cal has very nice taste - the mahogany with the blue,, silver. and white just looks elite and classy. I don't see how any recruit could turn down such top level gear, equipment, heritage, and exposure they'd get at UK. Not to mention Cal's success at getting guys to the next level. Go Cats!!!

the thing that blows me away the most is how they have the 2012 court spread throughout the equipment room. It shows how much money they have, as they could win a championship any year and have to tear up and replace all the floorpieces that are currently the 2012 NCAA championship. but they just dont care lol

GucciArzola you're definitely right. Nike rules for the most part. And I know they're obviously most popular among athletes. But I think Adidas and UA sponsored schools get just as hooked up as Nike schools. Specifically Maryland as one of the premier UA sponsored schools. Miami, ASU, UCLA, Notre Dame, and Louisville would all be cool places to see as well.

Fun fact- Kentucky switched to Nike in 97, partially due to losing to Arizona in the National Championship game in 97. Bibby and Simon were hard to stop in the game due to the Nike shoes that have them better cutting ability. Converse was their previous shoes.
