    Could you do a video about batteries c ratings and amps and how to choose the right one and is it possible to use smaller batteries on high performance builds?

    We need a video going over the different types of piston heads and matching them with a correct cylinder head for the desired build!!!!

    Id like to hear your thoughts about HPA vs AEG on joule limits. I recently went to a MilSim event and rifles were limited to 1.55j with .32s and i use .32s in my AEG anyway. however, HPA gets locked in at exactly 1.55j with .32s at chrono, but then load their guns up with .42s or even up to .48s. ive heard that HPA systems push much more volume than AEGs so the joule creep makes it so they are shooting more like 2.4j once they put the heavier BBs in their guns, even though they were locked at 1.55j with .32s. is that true? i just know that when i got shot with someones HPA set up, it did NOT feel like 1.5js. as a tech and a very avid airsoft player, i know VERY well what getting shot with 1.5j feels like, and the HPA guns hurt a LOT more.

    • @valtomus7214
      @valtomus7214 Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, hpa guns get a lot of joule creep but joule creep can be achieved with an aeg as well, not to the same limit as a hpa system but significant over volume causes joule creep on aegs

    • @citroenbanaan
      @citroenbanaan Před 2 lety +1

      Should put a maximum limit on bb weight. At least thats what we do here. (0.30g, 1.2j assault/0.4g 1.7j dmr/0.4g 2.1j bolt-action). This come forth by examining the amount of joule (ca 1.2j) transferred from the bb to an object at a certain distance (at least the minimal engagement range). Joule creep is nasty and can be potentially dangerous.

  • @xukelho
    @xukelho Před 2 lety +2

    What is your position on how the BB behaves while traveling down the inner barrel. Is it touching the top of the barrel or is it flying in an air pillow?
    Also, opinion on inner barrel lapping/polishing? Does it really work? If so, is it even worth it?

      @jordancook5171 Před 2 lety

      Edgi barrels are hand lapped and are absolutely the highest quality and performing barrel you can buy. They have brass or stainless steal and offer 6.01mm which will give you the tightest groupings.

      @@jordancook5171 eh diameter doesn’t really effect groupings as much as quality of bore

      Bore up cylinder set. M115 spring. High torque motor. Shim and grease properly. If you want faster trigger response put some 13:1 gears in it as well.
      Accuracy wise use a good hop up unit, pick a tight bore barrel, and then a good hop rubber and madbull fishbone nub. Have this exact setup on my CYMA PP-19 and it's great. 28rps and 390fps

  • @roycedoll115

    Hey, I was wondering if you could give advice on how to increase my guns FPS. It’s Currently shooting 285 FPS with .25g bbs, which is quite low. It’s an 8 tooth DSG, so I wouldn’t expect it to be shooting super hot, but it should definitely be able to shoot harder than it currently is. The gearbox currently has perfect airseal, and I’ve made sure that none of the seals blow out under spring tension. The barrel and bucking are sealing perfectly, and the seal between the bucking and the air nozzle is good to my knowledge. I don’t really understand where it’s losing air efficiency. If it is needed, here’s a full parts list.
    -Lonex gearbox
    -lonex cylinder head
    -ZCI ported cylinder
    -CYMA Swiss cheesed piston
    -Retro Arms aluminum piston head
    -lonex ball bearing spring guide
    -Guarder SP150 spring
    -Seigetek DSG from a 20.15/1 DSG gearset
    -XYT bevel and spur (18/1)
    -ASG 22TPA motor
    -lonex ARL
    -retro arms bushings
    -ZCI motor grip
    Barrel Setup:
    -Maxx ME pro
    -Maple leaf 50d MR hop bucking
    -Madbull 155mm 6.03 barrel
    I guarantee a lot of the issue is the barrel being too short, but I don’t think it would cause as much of a drop as it is. I’m using the short barrel because I play really aggressive and I don’t like my gun being long, so the short barrel paired with a short outer barrel and rail works great for how I play. And the range is great with the setup I have, it’s just shooting low for my taste. Thank you for any help you give!

      Hey man, i have done 6-7 dsg builds for myself and others and had a few people asking for help with there builds due to the same reason, to me the problem mostly if not always is the spring, i know you are using a sp150 spring however as the springs gets tighter and more compressed there is key parts of the spring will ramp the compression strength rather than bunging a sp150 by itself try a spacer with the sp150 or sp130 and you will notice you will hit peak compression quicker and your fps will boost by 30-40fps.

    • @roycedoll115
      @roycedoll115 Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for the reply man, I appreciate it. I’ll give that a shot. Is there a recommended length spacer, or is it just a test out certain lengths and see which works best? I have access to both 3D printers and Metal machining tools to be able to make a spacers for the spring, so I’ll be able to make different lengths

    • @Gravehoarder
      @Gravehoarder Před 2 lety

      @@roycedoll115 so the best size I've found for homemade and manafactured is 10mm wide bore, 15mm circumference(wide). 25mm tall. If you look up SHS dsg spacer you can find the dimmensions and drawings there. I have 3d printed nylon spacers however after 60-70k shots it will degrade massively if precock is used so I'd advise going for metal if possible.

    • @roycedoll115
      @roycedoll115 Před 2 lety

      Alright cool, thanks man. I personally don’t use precock as the trigger response is already instantaneous with my setup, but I’ll still make the spacer out of metal, and I’ll let you know how much of a difference that makes probably this weekend

    • @roycedoll115
      @roycedoll115 Před 2 lety

      Hey, my motor just fried, so I won’t be able to test the effects of the spacer I just made this weekend. I have a new motor on its way, but likely won’t make it to my house by Sunday. I did get a decent amount of shots with the spacer installed and it did make a decent visual difference in FPS, but I don’t have a crono at my house to give an exact measurement

    Im having a problem with my decade old jg m4a1 full metal all stock except a spring guide with bearing gear set 16.1 steel bushings and lipo 7.4 batt .. when not in use for a few days the first shot would crank the piston full compress but would not fire so i have to disassemble the upper receiver and help the piston with my finger trough the gearbox window so it would fire .. then it assemble it and will fire now but after a dozen single shot and auto shots the mosfet would be super heated and smoke emerges .

      My suspect would be the 16:1 gear ratio .. my research on the jg stock gears might be 18:1 and before the stock gears got destroyed i used to use sp140 spring and a 11.1 lipo and back way back and it doesnt have this problem ..
