  • From a 16mm reissue print provided by the Library of Congress. This is the 1950 Stuart Productions television release features an added soundtrack and is retitled "Koko's Pup Talent".

    That's Winston Sharples' production music over the Fleischer silent toon. The music was originally composed for RKO's VanBuren cartoons, i.e. Felix the Cat, Molly Moo Cow, etc.
    When the VanBuren Studio closed in 1938, Sharples joined Paramount & began a long association with the Fleischers.
    The rest, as they say, is history.⚓️😉

    i wish toothbrush mustaches weren't demonized as much today..... but for real, it's crazy how clean the lines look like if it weren't for the film artifacts and such i doubt anyone could tell that this was made in the 20th century.
