9:56 "He lives in an apartment in NY and works as a pool cleaner" Most unrealistic sh*t in this movie lmao
Live in the city cleaning the pools of the rich people on Long Island.
he's a pool boy in NY...think again
So you are OK with shifting between timelines?
@mmer The Mandela effect is a thing. Ofc in this film it is extreme, but I have experienced shifts personally, so yeah, shifting between timelines is not the weirdest thing in this movie.
bust be the timeline were donald trump was cut off by his dad after costing him a ton of money
Producer:How many plot twists do you want?
Movie:yes
That started like it could be an absolute mess, but it was actually very coherent and the twist at the end tied everything up beautifully.
nah. boring twist. sussy amogus ahh kid with weird thinking schedule tbh.... probabyl has some issues
@@scoper7897what are you like 12 years old? This movie is a masterpiece. And your little brain can't comprehend the actual meaning of the movie
@@scoper7897boring twist? You must not have grasped what happened, the universe ended and their immortality meant nothing, he was the only true immortal because he found out that because the Angels forgot to wipe his memory all he had to do to be born again over and over was make it to the end of time, that's why he was laughing his ass off at the end!
@@CriminalonCrime and how do u know thats what hapend??
@@scoper7897 the beginning tells you that before he was born the Angels forgot to wipe his memory, so the whole time the movie was going he could remember everything previous, including heaven, later as he's recounting the tale to the reporter speaking about the girl he loved the most they were on a space station together and she was telling him about the temporal anomaly she had just discovered that she believed was a loophole in time, but it was really far away in time and she said we might not live to see it, "SPOILER ALERT" then at the end of the world time starts to rewind as everyone else dies and he's moving backwards in time again while laughing because every time he makes it to the loophole time resets to just before he was born and only he can remember because the Angels forgot to wipe his memory. He's stuck in an infinite loop. Watch it again now that I told you, I had to watch it three times before I completely understood what the writer did! That movie was on another level! Very intelligently and elegantly scripted!

I saw a different recap on this movie, and that other recap was better than this one
@scrawnykidd2674 Still won't make this heap of trash any less trashy.

Finally this underrated movie has been taken into consideration! Ironically in the immortal future scenario the news openly states that the governments are absolutely unable to handle the sheer amount of people that choose to end themselves. Apparently immortality is not whats presented to be

I certainly wouldn't choose immorality.
Damn this movie is very based on existentialism and how that every choices you make is the right answer.
No. I dont think thats what its saying. Several times the man regretted not getting tge woman thing right. Or the woman hit by the car. Most choices we make are definitely not "right".
@@PolishBehemoth In existentialism those choices are still choices he chose and are inherently the right choices. Especially the choice he chose in the end.

Lmao they literally have a “what are you doing step-brother” plot line 😂
Not only that but it's the timeline he chose to get back to at the end meaning that Nemo (and by extension the movie) considered it the best timeline.

Imagine how depressing it would be to know all of the potential paths and every future in your life, knowing everything you missed, and all the pain that comes from it. People tell me they want a power like this, but in reality it would be a nightmare. This power is just full of hurt, pain and makes you feel helpless as you cannot do and have everything.
I saw this a while ago as a movie and now came across this recap. I am only 20 years old, but I have already made many choices and this movie cannot make me help but wonder what would've happened if I made different decisions, or appreciated different situations. I am sure there are decisions that had I done differently my life would be very different, probably even better or easier, but all I've got is this one life without a redo and I just gotta live with it, because that's life and what makes us human.
So at the end of the day, whilst I feel bad about the missed opportunities in my life. I am glad I do not have to relive it all or make different choices each time, all I need to concern myself with is making the best of my current self and the timeline I am living in.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
This is the major theme in the Dune series. How prescient Vision is more of a curse than a blessing. This is what Paul Atreides has to deal with
20 years is barely an age. You still have so many choices to make, so many interesting and new experiences. Yeah, you could have made different choices when you were younger, but you can do the same now, just like you said.
personally I prefer thinking of this movie as a cautious tail. Even if you had the power to predict literally everything, it would suuuuuck!
Don't worry so much of the choices you have made. You can't change the past, but you sure as hell can change the future if you so wish.
"So many people worry about how the tiniest change in the past could affect the future, but don't think about how a small change in the present can change the future as well" - Random Tumbler user.
Depends if you make the bad choices despite knowing them. 🤷🏽
@@Hasnain1F What if a choice that looks best when you're 20 suddenly doesn't feel so great when you're 40? Like 20 year old me valued money more than 30 year old me. Had I had access to all futures I might be living a horrible life as a CEO who has to do everything my current self believes is evil. Would that really be good? Would becoming a bad person for money really be a good choice? What if a choice that's bad for you is better for others? What if a choice that's good for you somehow butterfly effect kills millions of others? The ripples of our choices are so far reaching it would be impossible to even think of some of them, so to have instant access to them would likely drive someone insane.
basically the whole movie is just a possibility if the kid choose a path... and we can see wat will happen to him in the future. So his best love is with Anna if he chosen and when he didnt choose going to mom or dad.. all reality broke down
fantastic recap of a beautiful movie I saw too long ago- thx
captain Janeway of voyager set it best "My advice on making sense of temporal paradoxes is simple: don't even try."
You know with the concept of alternate time-lines depending on the choices you make in life, this feels like a precursor to Everything Everywhere All At Once. Weird comparison I know.
The idea that unborn children choose their parents is one of the most dystopian ones I've ever heard.... your parents didn't love you and abused you, well you chose that pal.
Yeah, it always makes me mad when people say that to me. Also, I am a physically ill person and almost died, but I have had people tell me I chose this life. My mom and brother died, I was abused, I am dying and watching my little sister die...yet I chose it?
He's no seeing the future, he found a glitch in reality, these are all memories of the many lives he has lived, at the end he's laughing his ass off because while everyone else is immortal he's the only one stuck in a time loop who's actually technically immortal! He just goes back and keeps living his life exploring every option while remembering each life but when he gets old he gets em mixed up talking to the reporter! But all he has to do is make it to the end of time/the universe each life and it rewinds.
Its kinda like Griffin from MIB 3. He has recollection of all timelines and possibilities before and including his death. Except, unlike Griffin, Mr. Nobody isn’t tied to a specific timeline. It’s more kinda like the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once. Since he has memories of and can insert himself into different timelines (which are like alternate universes)
One of my favourite movies! Thanks for the recap and for reminding me of the movie! :)
Man this is one of few movies i wish i had watched before seeing a recap, seems really good
I had a dream not to long ago where all of a sudden found myself on an airliner. I was in the back of the plane and i was on the floor looking at burnt red dirty carpeting that ran 1/4 of the way up the cabin wall. My face was inches from the wall. I think it was the area where the stewardess sit and meals are kept.
But I felt completely alone on the plane. Like I had been teleported on to it with no one else on board. All of a sudden the pitch of the plane sharply changed to a downward trajectory. A really steep decline. Fear took complete control of me as I thought "Oh my God!!! This is it. I'm going to die. There's no way i can get to the cockpit in time". "How much time do I have before impact!?" I have never felt terror grip me so tightly like it did at that instant. And I've been in some hairy situations of real life and death.
Then out of no where a very calm disembodied soft voice whispered in my ear "Wake up". All of a sudden I was in a bed looking around to see where the hell I was now. I didn't recognize my surroundings at all. Nothing. I was freaking out big time until I realized I was in my house and in my bedroom. Took about 15 to 20 seconds for my mind to work I guess. I live alone so no one in my house could have whispered anything to me.
I think about this dream more than any other. I can still very much feel it. It's like I was saved somehow from dying in a plane crash. It's really weird. I have never had a dream be so vivid and feel so real and can remember almost every single detail of it. Like it's on an infinite loop in my head now.
I like this movie too. Glad it was all a dream for him too.
Sounds like God sent you an angel. Or you heard the Holy Spirit.

Nemo and the multiverse of madness
ah i remember this. its like he played visual novel anime and assumed that its happened in real life 😊
Did this move make sense to anyone ?
Did someone fully understood the movie ??
If yes then 💀🤝💀 damn welcome to afterlife
It means that there is no right choice. It may look different at first but turns out completely different later or vice-versa. For e.g., You had to choose between running a family business which turns out mundane at first but one day an intern asks to work with you, you two hit it off and tie the knot and lived happily after. another is you went on to study engineering but didn't meet your partner in college you earn a lot, and travel a lot. on one such trip, you went to India met your partner there & leave everything and settle in India. You lived happily after. So there is no choice or infinite choice which contradicts the value of conscious decisions

I always thought the film was about the point of view that life was recursive and in the train scene is when he starts to shape which timeline to follow and when he dies it all comes back again, as he hasn't had his memory erased by the angels he can choose which path to follow, I think the ending makes more sense that way,
One of my favorite movie
I liked this movie. It reminds me of a book that I read when I was a kid, where every now and then there was a choice you would make, and then the choice would have you skip to a particular page and read from there, and so over and again. Trying to read all the possible stories was a complete mess, but I really liked the concept.
That sounds interesting! Can you share the book's name?
