You shoulve included the top spin shot. Pretty much every freekick taker nowadays does it and its OP. Just like the knuckle ball it takes a lot of time to master. Its arguably harder than the knuckle. At least in my opinion

The key to the Ozil bounce is a wet surface preferably grass. On a dry surface it is so much harder and inconsistent

Growing up and playing in the streets of Latin Americas I was always told by other kids that "toe-poke" is how amateurs kick the ball and that I had to learn how to really kick the ball. So I would copy the way they would kick with the inside of the foot and the outside of the foot as well. This is the first time I've ever heard that this is a proper shot or a real way to kick. TBH now as a 38 year old when I really want the ball to go to where I need it to go I do the "toe-poke" and hope that nobody payed attention to my foot lol

The toe poke is like a emergency move. It's accuracy is bad so that's y it's bad but if u have to do it then do it

@lunara7323 well if you can actually learn how to shoot is with accuracy it's unstoppable. I have iron toes and it doesn't hurt at all when i do it and i have also learned how to place it top ins all the time, so it's absolutely deadly when used properly. I'd say it's best for clearing the ball, but if you can use it accurately then you can use it for free kicks. 👍💯

the half volley and knuckleball are probably my fav

For the trivela, dont hit it with your toe like you were doing because it is so inconsistent, instead think of it like a normal curve shot but reflected, so you use the outside of your foot to shoot and you get alot more curl
But then less power right?
It appears that Kieran did not lean his body enough to achieve proper outside foot follow-through with the ball. If we look at right-footed Quaresma (who appears to have mastered this technique), he seems to always have his trivela run up at a near perpendicular angle, and *really* leans towards his right side -as he plants- from a couple strides before he plants his left (pivot) foot. He also follows through the shot by letting his right leg swing wide to the (right) side, also to the point that he lands with his right (kicking) foot first.
yes, but its not about power. if the curl and timing is good it will be much better than a powerful inaccurate trivela@@WKB_EDITZ
Roberto Carlos did it with his toe and Jumped on impact with strong backswing, even I did it with my toes and it was very effective and curl was very great, you just need power

I have learned all the shoring techniques but the best on that every player should MASTER is cruve , swerve, knuckle ball ( there a lot of knuckleball variations choose what suit you ) , back spin, topspin , dipping ( is knuckleball variation)
My only goal so far this season was off a half volley so I love this technique although it is definitely difficult

For the knuckleball I would say it is more about where you hit the ball because I found my own good knuckleball technique that used a little behind my big toe with less power that knuckled well

I thought you were going to miss the toe poke. Very useful due to the minimal backlift and power that can be generated. Used a lot in futsal.

I accidentally did a volley once. Very new to football, I asked my friend to defend me as i would try to dribble up to the goal and shoot. I gave a shot with all my power, and he blocked it. Ball went flying up in the air, so I just ran up to the spot it would land, and shot it midair. My friend played for a football team, while the only experience I had was school (they barely taught us anything)

With a toe poke you need to curl your toes into a little toe fist. That will help protect your toes and make a flatter area to hit the ball. Learned that one playing the futsal. Smaller, harder ball. Very little space to work in to get a shot off.

I accidently scored a banger volley into the top left corner in school just a month ago. and still i am trying to replicate that but no success.
I've scored 2 toe poke goals this season and both where when I didn't have enough time to take a good shot...

I can trivela with both feet i have no week foot i guess i just a weaker for witch is my left leg but i can hit hard af with it but my rugh leds hits harder like a train 😂
