As a glass guy, as soon as I heard “4mm toughened glass” I started laughing hard hahaha. Ronaldo wasnt using toughened glass! The difference is HUGE. Try again with regular annealled glass and you can do it!
Literally my first thought (as a former glazer). Definitely annealed vs tempered is the issue. You can 100% see that Ronaldo was hitting annealed glass and those huge shards really helped transfer the force of the shot through the subsequent panes of glass.
The larger glass pane would also make it easier to break compared to the smaller ones. More of a weak spot in the middle on the larger ones.
i’m pretty sure he couldn’t be able to do as many as Ronaldo did, but his results would improve insanely.

About the glass one, other people have mentioned the fact that the glass is the wrong type, but also the flexibility of the poles makes it so that the ball bounces rather than continuing, so you could likely do a lot better with regular glass and stiffer frames

the glass you used is tempered glass, that type of glass shatters different to the one Ronaldo broke.

Ronaldo used an annealed glass which breaks easier and on the point of impact, not all over like the tempered glass.
If it would break easier and They would have faked it They probably would shatter 5 glasses so I don't think so

@@dhanushp2634 he didn't blame him, just said its a different type of glass, which it is. Tempered glass shatters throughout which means it disperses the energy across the entire panel. Ronaldos shot was obviously still stronger than Kierans, but its still not exactly the same test.
3:20 I'm 35 and haven't played soccer in my life. But I recently went to my father's 50 and over soccer league practices.
While they were practicing, a ball came my way from a long distance away and I stopped it with my foot and everyone went, "AYYYEEE!!!!!!!!"
And they did it over and over and over, and as long as the ball came to me, I could "control stop" it.
I've never tried soccer. But I used to be a really good inline skater. So I'm guessing that's where the control comes from.
But I really enjoyed finding out that I had this...... "any distance control stopping" power, lol.

5:02 since when could Kepa save
The last Ronaldo shot they were using annealed glass. You can tell by the way it breaks off into shards. You were using tempered which is much more resistant to surface impacts as a safety feature. The way the glass broke up into small little pieces, almost looks like crushed ice cubes, is what proves this usually. I'm honestly surprised you were able to break through it with a soccer ball in the first place, lol. I knew once you said that you used "hardened" glass panes that you weren't going to achieve the 3 pane breaks. Not hating, but figured I'd at least share my thoughts from my knowledge.

You should replicate some of Maradona's tricks, such as the one when he plays with the ball blindfolded, or when he kicks the ball up in the air more than 20 times while controlling it without touching ground

The Ronaldo laser challenge didn’t count how many times the laser touched the ball, it counted how many times the guy on the laser pulled the trigger while it was on the ball, so I think you did great.
The guy on the laser was also a military trained sniper in a high ranking division vs a regular guy just pointing one so it’s hard to compare
If you watch the Ronaldo sniper test, I believe there was 13 snipers across 3 sections. Plus it's correct that the laser wasn't constant the trigger needed to be pulled. Also Ronaldo had a much larger area to play in. So I personally think you did a Stella job 👍

@@olivermitchell4968 True but it's almost certain that snipers or any military trained person will have faster reflexes than a normal person. So yeah, it'll be hard to compare.

The first one on the flag where you cross it into the goal my friend actually got it in on the first try in a tournament and it looked so cool ✨
To give you even more credit on the glass breaking challenge- the stands wobbled a lot, meaning they absorbed a significant amount of the ball’s energy and thus decreased the force applied to the glass itself. That combined with the toughened glass you used put you at a huge disadvantage.
And Ronaldo didn't use tempered Glass based on how it failed. Ronaldo would only go through a maximum of two i'd say.
The dedication to make this video is absolutely amazing 🤯

The glass that you used is safety glass. It just shatters to tiny pieces and it's designed to absorb a large chunk of energy, making the ball just roll back from it. It's quite comparable to the way car glass is designed.

Looks like you've used some safety glass that totally Breaks into small pieces, whereas Ronald's Glass had bigger chunks so it was much easier for him to break through the glass. Your ball even bounced straight back instead of going to the 2nd lvl.

I will say on the science of things your glass was different, you can tell by the way it shatters and what it looks like after shattering. You also have to factor in the temperature of being outside versus a controlled environment inside like Ronaldo's so basically you may have a better chance than you think, or it may have been easier for you idk would need more info

With the glass one, Ronaldo had bigger panes of glass meaning that the tension level was lower, which would allow him to get the panes to break easier.

Pretty sure that "Neymar" trick shot was played in an old league game. It was listed under incredible football facts in an old 60s annual I had (Eagle annual, maybe). Someone in the corner hoofed the ball up, ran into the goal area and headed the ball in as it dropped. Would have been one of those old heavy balls too.

In shot with glass, you have toughened glass (shatters in small pieces), however in Ronaldo's shot, they have normal glass (breaks in large chunks). It's much harder to break the glass that you had, because it's toughened :)
By the way his glasses broken you can see it's a completely different type of glass. They seemed to be less stiff than yours so they would break in a direction that he wasn't to guarantee he wouldn't get injured, like you almost got
If it makes you feel any better, you can tell that Ronaldo used annealed glass in his challenge whereas your glass was tempered. You can tell by the differences in how they shattered. Tempered glass is roughly 4x stronger. So good on you for breaking even one pane!!!

I see the poles are moving a little bit after you shoot the ball, it for sure makes it harder for the ball to break through. Try to put something that holds them all together on the top, and secure the last one. May help breaking through!
Mostly just dribbling clips... Others can be done when continuously attempting... as long as the attempter is an athlete or just very athletic / coordinated person.

Ronaldo used annealed glass (see the break pattern in the slomo. Large jagged pieces). You are using tempered glass which is 4 times stronger since it is heat treated so it breaks into a million cubes (helps avoid injury in a real life glass breaking scenario). You can throw a wiffle ball through annealed glass.
