      how is pushing the non existent virtues of socialism being ahead of it's time? If anything it is behind the times. It is pretending that socialism is for the poor. In reality it is a triumph of corporate criminals. It is a system invented by the rich to gain ultimate control over the masses. IT has nothing in it to help the poor.

    I've been rewatching this show and thinking, is this show socialist? Then I saw the episode where Hal quits his job and used the time to create a piece of art that moves the whole family and my suspicions were confirmed.
    I loved when the kid asked him if he was only at his job to avoid dying in a fire, and he had no good answer to that. Also, there was the b plot about Francis working at the drug store for a pointless inventory competition.

      Almost every episod is about the fight against authority, how the system crushes you and how you're only solution is to destroy it like a punk : weither it's Military School, Lucky Aide's, malcom's teacher, your parents, Hal's company, Hal's family, the health system, dewey's class for retarded kids, Lagertha and on the other side, Grotto is presented as a weird utopia where there is no authority figure.

      Socialism and communism are the same thing. Socialism is slavery by choice (vote). Communism is slavery by force.

    • @airex12
      @airex12 Před 6 lety +7

      democratic ownership of the means of production sure doesn't sound like slavery to me. Dying from preventable diseases because your boss doesn't give you health insurance sounds like slavery.

    • @TrevorHamberger
      @TrevorHamberger Před 6 lety

      If you die from a preventable disease it was your own choice and doing. You can prevent any disesase on earth with nutrition. Here is the proof. czcams.com/video/Hnq-DzJuhw4/video.html
      And if you actually believe socialism is democratic ownership of the means of production you are insane. Not to mention the fact that capitalism is the only reason in the world that we have advanced to the medicine we have today.
      “If you wanted to control the nation's manufacturing, commerce, finance, transportation and natural resources, you would need only to control the apex, the power pinnacle, of an all-powerful SOCIALIST government. Then you would have a monopoly and could squeeze out all your competitors. If you wanted a national monopoly, you must control a national socialist government. If you want a worldwide monopoly, you must control a world socialist government. That is what the game is all about. "Communism" is not a movement of the downtrodden masses but is a movement created, manipulated and used by power-seeking billionaires in order to gain control over the world ...”
      ― Gary Allen
      "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage."
      --Attributed to Scottish History Professor at University of Edinburgh Sir Alexander Fraser Tytler (1747-1813) and others
