Can't get over how nice the material is.
That final look when Shoyan slid down the slide, priceless. In Germany we hava a saying: „Das Kind im Manne“ - 男の中の子供
Again a nice process.
These videos are so wonderful to watch - Shoyan is so skilled, and watching the process is so calming, as he makes it look so effortless. Thanks for sharing!
"They want to be able to slide down without hurting their butts." 🤣🤣
this man has a lot of talent. I would be happy with just a little bit of his knowledge.
*Beautiful slide. I hope the children get lots of years of use out of it.*
Hello from Long Beach, California. I enjoy your videos and would like you to keep posting in English because I don't know any Japanese.
Hey guys! It’s Walker all the way from East Tennessee!! I’m 42yrs old and 3rd generation carpenter! It’s absolutely enjoying watching the different techniques and tools you guys use over there!! You’re such an awesome carpenter!!!
Beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail!!!
hahaha "We tested and it failed.. you will absolutely crack your tail bone!! " Japanese honesty in workmanship at its best!! Not like some edited CZcams channels to cut that portion and straight go to the end product hiding their mistakes :)
I really like when professionals show their mistakes, nice work as always!
love the last shot and the sign off, haha
The Cedar that you used for this project was absolutely superb. Your attention to detail is of is amazing to watch &, as always, your woodworking skills have to be seen to be believed. I don't believe in my 82.5 years that I have ever seen the skills that you display. It is SO enjoyable & relaxing, even soothing, watching you work. Most enjoyable & Cheers, Don from South Aust.
Great video as usual. I love seeing your process. Keep up the awesome work!
That's so adorable. I hope the buyer will be very happy.
Very nice work as always 👌👍💯
A fabulous carpenter
Wonderful job! My favorite parts of your videos, besides the quality of the work, are the bow you give at the beginning and end and learning the Japanese terms
Love your Japanese Carpentry thank you for sharing buddy 🙇🏻♂
I love that you tried out and adjusted the design.
Very creative! I really enjoy this channel. I am a wooden boatbuilder, and am amazed at all of the power tools that I have never seen before. 👍🏻
Such an elegant craftsman. We have so much to learn from you in the west.

Arigatogozaimasu from Yukon Canada
I enjoy your channel especially your bench building 😂
The wood used is beautiful. Good to see you procured latex gloves for oil work. Thank you!
Hello Shoyan San, you made a very nice job of making the slide, and there will be happy kids using it for a long time to come, thanks for another interesting video, stay safe my friend, best wishe's to all there, Stuart UK.
very nice!!!!💪💪💪💪🤩
how much risk is there to the wood warping and splintering in the weather?
or in the pool?
cyprus is a very strong suitable wood for outdoor use so it should be okay
Lucky kids. Beautiful wood.
I watched that episode before. I think it was on your japanese channel.
My dad's saying for "lazy carpentry" was "Plaster and paint, what the carpenter aint!"
Haha great project
Lovely Shoyan.. I'm 110 kg's, 1.86m's, and I want one.. though the Butt width might need to be a bit more
always test it!! 🤣
Beautiful craftsmanship Shoyan-san. Some very lucky children will enjoy that slide and so will their children. Arigato.
Top😊
It's there ANYTHING you can't build 😮
How will you prevent splinters??
Splinters in the arse is the greatest problem with wooden slides.
Japanese Cypress is a beautiful wood.
Mr. Shoyan like always you did an amazing job. How much time did you have in this project? Just curious since it was your first one
Very nice build, only the frame of the airconditioning is not very save for playing children.
Please discuss calcium silicate board.. thank you
That is awesome! Do you have a dado blade for your circular saw?
👍
Id love to see the japanese Video, but can not read the titels of japanese videos.
Is there a chance you can link the japnese video in the caption? thank you :)
I have to ask: your hammer has one point in the back. In north america, hammers have two "ears" that allow you to use them like a crobar, to pull nails out. What is the ficntion of the one "horn" or point in the back?
What AC:New Horizons objects did you make!?
You mention rain water - though I have not worked with Japanese Cypress wood before, I could imagine rain and the elements in general would quickly degrade the surface of the wood, making it rough and splintery - this is what always happens to my outdoor wood, no matter how much oil I apply. It would not be smooth for long. What are you expectations here?
And having it near pool later on, kids won’t wear thick cotton trousers sliding this down while the slide and it’s coating will get drenched a lot… I am skeptical how long this will last.. maybe a year until the surface degrades. Indoors would be a different story I would think.
Japanese cypress is water-resistant enough to be used in bathtubs, and at the same time it is an excellent building material that is also insect repellent. The bathroom made entirely of Japanese cypress smells great and I love it. Horyuji, the world's oldest wooden building, is also made of Japanese cypress. The downside is that it is expensive, but I think the 'syoyan' master carpenter chose the best wood for outdoor use.
@@hiroshi.n9352 Super interesting!
Flat grain rather than vertical grain on the slide surface boards is not something I would do with any wood species I'm familiar with using. Maybe the wood used here will never move and have a splinter issue, could be as I'm not familiar with it's properties. Here in the States there is good reason we use a thin sheet of stainless steel for slides, also many polymer materials are use in playground equipment.
Beautiful craftsmanship, as always!
I think the customer made a mistake with putting a wooden slide outside.
❤️🇺🇸👍
Daddy I got a splinter!!!!!!
Don't bother then
