Part 6: • Ken Shamrock on Leavin...
Part 8: • Ken Shamrock on The Ro...
Part 1: • Ken Shamrock on Gettin...
    --------
In this clip, Vlad started off speaking about Mark Henry saying he wanted to punch him for saying wrestling is fake, and Ken Shamrock explained that “fake” isn’t a good word around wrestlers. Ken then added that wrestling is a tough sport that requires the wrestlers to fight for two weeks straight. From there, Ken spoke about his feud with Brett Hart, and he went on to address the “Montreal Screwjob” incident. He explained that wrestling is built on trust in the ring and that they’re going to carry out what they said they were going to do, which he said can lead to huge injuries if not carried out. Ken explained that all of the trust he had was gone, and he added that things started to go downhill for him with wrestling.

Yet if you already didn’t know what it was, you still wouldn’t. Or you’d think someone got hit with a real hammer. If anyone is curious as to what happened, Bret hart was the champion of WWE and had just signed w/WCW, their biggest competition at the time. WCW was beating wwf at the time in every aspect. Bret had a few dates left on his contract but WWE/F was afraid he’d leave for WCW w/their world title. Bret agreed he’d “lose” the belt to anyone but Shawn Michaels, who he was scheduled to wrestle in Montreal that night. Ken being someone he mentioned. So they, Vince McMahon and Bret agreed that they’d get thru Montreal and do it the next night. Unbeknownst to only a few people, that plan changed. Bret and Shawn were having the match, and Shawn got Bret in a submission hold. Vince, who had come to ringside ordered the referee to call for the bell under the guise that Bret had submitted to the hold, therefore “screwing” him outta the championship. Giving us the “Montreal Screwjob”, which is still talked about in pro wrestling circles 25 years later. I’m sure I did a horrible job explaining this and advise anyone remotely interested in it to search for the video on CZcams. It’s worth it.

Hall and Nash brought their rebellious attitudes to WCW and formed NWO...while HBK, HHH, and X PAC formed DX...the attitude era pretty much happened for both companies around the same time.

The Montreal Screwjob was a double cross. Bret Hart was no longer under contract to the WWF but he was the WWF Champion at the time & he’d already had a verbal agreement to go to rival promotion WCW. His opponent in Montreal was someone he had issues with in real life so Bret didn’t want to drop the belt to him because there was a lack of respect shown to him from Shawn Michaels, his opponent. After exhausting all the possible outcomes & scenarios Vince McMahon felt he had to double cross Bret to get the belt off of him. So Bret went into the match thinking it would end in a double disqualification, but instead the ref rang the bell when Bret was in a submission to give off the appearance that Bret gave up when in fact he hadn’t.

My advice take one pro wrestling class. Fall on the mat a few times then call it fake. Take a closeline thats slightly off, lose a tooth. Average person doesn't last 2 hours.

@King Charles ✔ It's fake, nobody is punching straight to the face and nobody is slamming on concrete. They all have lunch after the show, Undertaker is not related to Kane. Fake fake fake.

    • @AntTurner

@King Charles ✔ Those chairs are not made the same as normal chairs sitting. Extremely thin and wouldn't seriously hurt anybody, thats why they bent so easily. This is no different that being slammed on the canvas which had tons of springs under it. Its not real, its a big illusion. People get hit but not with full force its practiced multiple times before that the show starts which means its fake.
