Scotland The Brave used as the background to an Irish-themed song? hahaha, it's pretty silly if the remix-artists intention was to keep with the Irish theme. That reminds me of the time I was in NY, and this Irish-American boxer's intro music was the bagpipe tune "Scotland The Brave." But I'm pretty sure I was the only one who noticed.
Im a pretty young bagpiper but i remember talking to my teacher years ago about the tune and why it was always heard at Irish events. I got a couple reasons. One is because it is such a common and beginner level tune that almost every band or piper learns it early on and has it in their hip pocket. this is the most obvious reason but the other is that, although the lyrics for the tune were written by a Scott, folk lore says the tune it self was written by an Irishmen as a memorial, as many marches are, to a battle in which the scotts came to the irish's aide. for anyone who is familiar with the subtle difference between Irish and Scottish marches may be able to recognize it closely follows some Irish patterns. either way its a great tune and im always pumped when i get a reaction when a play it for a group.

This totally butchered the original --- Awful awful remix. Unbeknownst to me, this was the only available version on iTunes, and unfortunately I downloaded it. Sometimes the original should just be left alone, cause the original is just too good.
