  • Hello everyone and Welcome to Groove Builders, The show where we create together. In Ep#115 we take on a deep sea steam punk monster, The Machine Planet Steam Punk Angler Fish! This build comes to us from our friends over at the MoYu Store and they specialize in detailed metal models made from Hardware. They have some really neat stuff to check out and when I was given the opportunity to check them out I couldn't say no. How different are these models? What tools do you need? Are they difficult? And does the whole thing light up? These are great questions and we will get the answers on this episode of Groove Builder!
    Want to pick up the Steam Punk Angler Fish? Check The MoYu Store!

    This is so cool! One of my favourites you’ve done so far.

    Thats awesome, didn't know these kind of models. I was also wanting to build something else than metal models and started doing plastic model kits again. Did you build those before, the ones you paint and glue together?

      I've dabbled in plastic kits a few times but mostly when I was a younger. I've been taking a look at some of new retro ones that have been coming out of spaceships. If I find the right sci-fi one.. I'm sure it will come up on the channel lol
      These builds are unique Tbh and the store actually creates them themselves. They asked me if anything in the model should be improved. I think that's a neat way of doing business and the fact that someone comes up with these crazy things is nutty.

      @@GrooveBuilders Retro Sci-Fi? That would be great if you could post that on your channel! :) I've been doing the Aliens APC in 1/32 and the 1989 Batmobile in 1/25, will do the Narcissus from Alien at some point, a very old kit from the 90s made by Halcyon.

    This is a very interesting build, and you sounded like a complete veteran! Have you done these kinds of models before? If so, what would you recommend for a complete beginner of this hobby?

      Thanks for kind comment 🙂 it's my first build of this kind but I had a ton of fun putting it together. If you're new to this and just want to get your feet wet I would maybe look at the puzzles that are less than 500 pieces. Some of the insects on the Moyu Store look relatively easy too. I hope this helps and if you do decide to pick one up don't forget to tag us. I would love to see your work

    Very cool & unique model.
    Think I'll stick with mecanno for now though!

      I haven't heard of Mecanno but I did just take a look. Interesting stuff. What was your favorite build from them?

      @@GrooveBuilders can't remember the first but I have done a Ferrari F1 car recently.
      I'm in the UK so have done a few over the years.

    I’m building this now but can’t seem to find the correct size batteries and it didn’t come with them. Can you tell me what size they are?

    • @GrooveBuilders
      @GrooveBuilders  Před rokem

      Sure, I will take a look a little later tonight when I'm home. Might sound funny but did you check in the light? My batteries where inside

      @@GrooveBuilders yes I did look but they are not there. And there is no battery info on the instructions either. Thank you so much for responding. I look forward to your answer when you get a chance to look.

    Hey, I have this one too, but my asambly instructions are in black and white. I'm stuck at step 60. I wrote the seller but they don't answer. Is there any chance you can sent the instructions to me via email? :)
