I worked with Carol and her daughter 20ish yrs ago on a "Touched by an Angel" episode. I was an extra and she was just as wonderful to everyone as lowly as we were, as she was to everyone in the crew. Her daughter too. Absolutely wonderfully kind and funny

I wouldn't say starstruck. I'd say Jimmy has a familial affection for Carol Burnett. She's very loved in Hollywood - and beyond - because she was self-made and stayed decent. She's a case study of how we prefer things to be.

My employer is a 90 year old woman who is highly wheelchair dependent (I'm kind of her legs). She reads The New York Times and fully does its crossword puzzle every day. Contrary to popular belief, there is *Not* an age at which someone is automatically drooling into her/his oatmeal. Old age does *Not* = Dementia.

She's incredible at 91. When I was a kid, me and my mom would watch The Carol Burnett Show on Saturday nights. I loved how Carol and the cast would try not to lose it whenever they did scenes with Tim Conway. Man, I miss those days.

You and me both, Adam. Along with Ed Sullivan, Carol was our nightly TV in the 60's and early 70's. She had Tim, Harvey, Vicki and Lyle who just made the show so much a joy to watch! It was a great time to be alive with wonderful people who just wanted to make people laugh.
One of the funniest things I've ever seen was the comedic ballet she did to Swan Lake when her show went to the Sidney Opera House in Australia.
