I see so many commenters that have mis-understood this great video. It's the most DISTINCTIVE car in the state, not the most common. That means that it lists the cars that are found more in that state than anywhere else. It explains why the list doesn't contain too many common cars; they're all spread out among the US and don't hold a significant percentage in any single state.

The only reason Montana has such a high percent of supercars is due to a tax loophole in Montana that let's people register a company and not pay taxes on the car, hence why many rich people register as a company and then buy their cars through Montana to avoid the tax.

Subarus seem to be most popular in mountainous regions or places that frequent bad weather. They’re the cheapest and easiest to obtain AWD car. The Outback is the height of a small crossover but the length of a Highlander. They may not be the most attractive cars on the road but they are among the safest and best in value.

Well I live in New Jersey and I can definitely confirm that there is a ton of Audi's on the roads here. Just today in one Home Depot parking lot all in the same aisle was 5, white Audi crossovers, a mix between Q3's, Q5's and Q7's. I am sure once the Q8 and the E-tron are both released, I am going to see a bunch of them on the road too.

This is a true story, Audi of Freehold is pushing out those Audi's like they are going out of style. As a matter of fact, when I went to my Audi dealership a few weeks ago, they literally had only 3 Audi Q7's model on the lot, and my salesman told me that they were already sold, so basically he said they didn't have any Audi Q7's in stock.

It isn't really that surprising that large vehicles are more popular here, because we have tons of space and there is no real incentive for the hatchbacks and other small cars that Europeans tend to favor. That's a little bit different for cities though.

Because gas here is cheaper roads are larger and sometimes unstable, cars as a whole are cheaper to buy and register and insure and while not everyone, a good amount of Americans are in labor businesses that require a dependable and reliable workhorse from ford toyota ect
