- In this video I unbox EGO's newest (and only) Shopvac.
EGO has really expanded their lineup and their products are becoming more and more professional in quality and design, this vac is no exception. EGO rates it at 110CFM and 100 inch water lift (suction power). I can vouch that its got tremendous suction (though I have no way of measuring the specifics).
It has a generous 9 gallon tank that can be used either for wet or dry suction. Built-in filter cleaning, 3 speeds (including the dubiously named "Turbo"), and a generously wide-diameter hose for sucking up debris along with a full set of attachments.
Honestly, for the price, you definitely get a lot especially if you've already bought into the EGO lineup. About the only negative is that it doesn't feature a HEPA filter.
Easily its one of the highest tech and well thought out shopvacs I've used, corded or cordless.

Not sure if you figured it now by now but you can storage the extension tubes underneath the vac .. it looks like the vac have an exhaust
Hah! Thanks for pointing that out. I did miss that! It does look funny but its better than nothing!
@@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc The crevice wand also has a hole in the front of the unit that holds it. I also like how the remote light makes it look like a light saber.
Like earlier stated, the 2 extension tubes slide into the bottom at the rear for storage... and exhaust?
I bought the 6 gallon m18 single battery shop vacuum and it's so bulky and heavy duty I dont think I can keep it in my shop . Hopefully this is a reasonable size and weight
I replaced my dual battery Milwaukee with this. Love it and the light comes in handy.
I think with the 5ah battery it weighs like 29lbs.
Does the vacuum feel too bulky to carry around?
To carry? It is bulky. It is a 9 gallon tank so likely going to be bigger than your M18 overall. However, it is doable, my wife has carried the EGO around. The wheels on the EGO are very nice and it moves very freely even on carpet so most of the time you should be able wheel it.
It’s lighter than the Milwaukee. Shorter and my wife can carry it. I liked the Milwaukee as well.
For me turbo is standard mode
100%!
