The pace these guys wrestle with is unreal. Might be the first time I’ve ever seen Lee lose in such a high paced match...usually the other wrestler has to slow the match down like McKenna used to do with him. So unfortunate that we won’t see a third match this year. I feel for these guys...especially with yianni Comin back next year
Lot of potential nationals finals here! How tough is the big ten damn!!! Even rubbing off on the basketball this year big ten and big East is murderers row this year.

I did respect Luke Pletcher’a grind this season, but throwing up #1 after never making the finals is what makes me wish Lee would’ve won now that NCAAs are cancelled. Best of luck to both wrestlers in the future.

Refs so in involved. Red Stalling, he just took a shot and forced a stall on Green, which was questionable but acceptable. 5 secs later, in middle of the circle Red Stalling so both got stall calls, but the pace was insane. Horrible officials
Ya if there was stats lee definitely took at least 3 times as many shots as pletcher. But I understands both stall calls.
Adam Lopez are we talking half shots? Pletcher took as many good shots. Lee was trying to rely on his length so he wouldn’t have to commit to a deep shot
Adam Koehler I count anything where you touch the leg below the knee and by that I counted 8 for lee and 2 for pletcher by the end of the 2nd. So if you don’t consider those shot then I guess we have nothing to talk about.

There are a few inevitable matchups that will happen at the NCAA finals: Lee vs Pletcher, Deakin vs Hidlay, Marinelli vs Joseph, Kemerer vs Hall, and Steveson vs Parris. I think the 141lbs will be as intriguing as any of the others because it’s truly 50/50.

@@Chasearabbi Nick Lee won their previous match, so they are tied 1 win a piece with each other. They are likely to meet again at the finals of the NCAAs. The "rubber" match" is what breaks the tie. Just a saying I grew up with.

You can't call stalling the last 13 seconds of a match, Pletcher was the aggressor the entire third period, lee shouldn't have waited to attack at the end, that's how it goes.
Yes we should disregard all the shot attempts that Lee made and Pletcher didn't.
Nate Compton before the takedown in the third period pletcher was out shooting lee. All I’m saying is lee should have gotten the third period takedown if he wanted to win. Can’t depend on a stall call.
Everybody calling stalling, Pletcher had 2 takedowns to 1. The right guy won.
Pletcher didn't even feign a shot for most of the match. I'm sorry you aren't seeing it correctly, but that's a fact.

I’m a fan of both these guys maybe a little less for Pletcher because his career against talent has always been to stall. Given that have you ever heard a champion booed so loudly that it was difficult to hear the interview. I guess most in attendance felt that way also.
Pletcher at 141 is so different. I disliked him last year because he was a stall machine and couldn't generate any offense.

I honestly don’t think Pletcher stalled that much during the match. It’s just a contrast of styles. Lee takes a million shots while pletcher is more selective of his shots. Amazing match and I hope we see it again at NCAA’s.
Lee is far more talented. Pletcher would lose 90 time out of 100.
