    You know Becky, I have been looking in on you for a long time now and, I have to say it, you're looking fantastic! You seem to have taken to this lifestyle like a duck to water and you look younger now than you did at the beginning, and healthier too, I think just looking at you is enough of an advert for changing your life to a slower, healthier and more in touch with nature way.

    We love cattle panels too- we love making tunnel trellises and growing squash and small pumpkins on them- grapes too.

    Thank you Becky for all of your videos you have inspired me to get chickens 🐓 I’m 15 year old homeschooled kid that has now built from the ground up a working chicken homestead/farm. Your videos have helped guide me and have taught me so much on chickens. I am now making short you tube videos on my chickens. I hope I can be as great as you and help others learn about chickens!

    I use cattle panels for my fencing also. I even use it for my chicken run. I made a hoop run. It also makes a great goat run. I just zip tied some panels together and move it around when I want my 2 little goats to clean up an area. Much better then tying them out.and I use it for my garden.

    If a tree falls on the fence, cut it at the posts and just put a new piece in using metal zip ties to hold the new piece. Tree's or large branches will still damage the cattle panels. More costly to repair.

    You have definitely helped me. I have installed a woven horse fence and after 12 years the posts are rotting at the base and some have broken off, pulling the fence over and breaking my tensile wire electric fencing. I so wish I had this video back then. Thank you you for sure helped. I will do repairs and maybe change what I have as I can. Thank you.

    • @BeckysHomestead
      @BeckysHomestead  Před 2 lety +1

      Never try and remove the old wooden posts. Just pound in T posts next to the broken off wooden ones. With wire fencing I space the T post 10 feet apart.☀️❤️☀️

I can't imagine allllll the fun you must have just viewing their interactions. You look good my dear...remember to take time for some respite under the ol' 'lantern tree'. Health and god Bless! :)

      When you have a homestead, your going to loose a chicken here and there, that is nature. I love both wild and domestic animals so I except it. Just build a hood coop and do your best and enjoy☀️❤️☀️

    And the same goes with the cattle panels once a horse puts its legs through those panels it always ends badly.When you are dealing with Cattle the panels might work okay must cows don't try to climb over them I say most but I am sure there has been some

    The only thing I don't like about T post is if your horse plays around and decides to rear up close to the T post they could come down on the Tpost and put the Tpost up through their chest I have seen that happen , and the horse was rushed to a Vet Hospital😔
