The early 90's was one of the most sonically explosive periods of time i can think of, across all genres. Name another era with as explosive growth and expansion of styles and evolutions of sound, think of how many utterly legendary bands, groups, and artists across every possible genre exploded into our collective consciousnesses back then. it was mental. Metallica on the Radio, Grunge, 2Pac, Biggie, DMX, Busta, Snoop, Green Day, Garth Brooks, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Danzig, Rage Against the Machine, F'ing Primus and more... all being playing on main stream media, the sonic underground seized control for a whole decade, it was fucking amazing.
INDEED! I actually think of this a lot. As far as humanity has known, nothing was ever like the 90s. I was very lucky and am very proud to have been one of the teen youths to experience it. It almost felt like all of humanity boiled up for just that decade. That was when humanity started puberty. I don't know how long before humanity becomes an adult though.
That's because You and me and everyone else who came here to listen and watch this video clip, were teenagers. In this age we had the most bright emotions about music, movies, style and everything else. We ware not bored of work and everydays routine. Todays teenagers will say the same thing about Imagine Dragons, Billie Eilish and other todays idols.

Their is fantastic new music being made now, and access greater than every but actually finding it, in the ever expanding sea of also rans is evermore challenging.
Back then they did what they did with word of mouth and MTV, there was no internet yet. But it was a special time in the creative zeitgeist. One that I feel is due again, things have been stale for too long.
@@JonnyPhive You are right, there was no internet 20-30 years. But it's more advantage than disadvantage. Music was sorted for us by MTV and others. And now much harder(for me) to find real good music, in all this sorts of shit. And it sounds way better for me too, my old good 90's hits.
Yes this is waaaaay better than any garbage on Spotifys horrible top ten rock list. The Blues wants to remind you of its unassailable status as the the MOTHER of all Country, Rock, funk AND punk. The BLUES went almost undiluted from black only juke joints in the Mississippi Delta to the phonographs and radios of the world via Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, to the British Invasion, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Stones, AC/DC, The Clash, Sex Pistols and The Jam. THEN came alternative rock, Nirvana, grunge (hard rock + punk) Soundgarden, the Offspring ad infinitum. Y'allgive the blues a hand.

One thing that The Offspring can do that the others can't is release a Bad Religion song just like this, and it still takes a while for people to realize it. Bad religion could have released this song, and nobody would guess for a while that it's an Offspring song too :)

Meh, offsprings song structure hasn't changed in the past 25 years, they threw in a finger picking part, which is not anything amazing, if anything it was passe 10 years ago. After their second or third album there's nothing of any substance.
Not trashing them. Just musically there's not much innovation and it's just mediocre butt rock for quite some time, rather than punk rock, but they still keep playing image wise punk rock???
Idk, hate on my comment, thumbs down me (as if it means anything, this isn't reddit). Offspring is just a name that gets on big festival like shows, but they never actually have a legit tour that draws fans for them.
Last time I was at a show they played, it was at Huntington Beach for a huge 2 day festival actually on the beach. First day they headlined, Pennywise and Suicidal Tendencies played before them. After pennywise literally 2/3 of the crowd left. The following night (a Sunday night I might add) Social Distortion played in the time slot Offspring had the night prior and Rancid in the time slot Pennywise was in, after Rancid literally none of the crowd left.
All I'm saying is anyone who is a fan of offspring at this point isn't part of the punk fansbase, and the band is somehow idk, catapulted with marketing even though they're an irrelevant band.
