I don't know what's more impressive, the fact that The Offspring still makes music, or the fact that the music is amazing.
Every song off this record was actually pretty good. Dexter went into his lab and found a recipe to sound like he did in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
yeah but there aren't lot of songs really. It should have 3 o 4 more.
I'd say Let the bad times roll is the best album The offspring has made yet. Maybe followed by Days gone by and rise and fall rage and grace.

Dexter’s voice and songwriting has matured like fine wine! The guitarring is as potent and eargasmic as ever! This almost decade long wait was completely worth it! This whole album is The Offspring at their finest! ❤️💥❤️💥❤️
And the drums? Antigasmic 🤣. I love the song but the mix is bad :(
@@bmd735 I love the sound of the song as a whole - it’s all thrills for me. I am sure the drum sound is intentional. I will have to listen to a live version to decide if I would have preferred anything different.
@@bmd735 yeah entire album could use a remix and remaster. Bob Rock can’t help. He might be legendary but he also ruined Metallica and produced St Anger. Not exactly someone to expect great audio quality from.
Voices can go bad but Dex still sounds great. (Saw them summer 2019) And if you play an instrument regularly, you always learn and improve.
@@PeteHemdem I saw them Summer 2018 and although Dexter's voice wasn't as "serrated" or "abrasive" sounding as in the past, it was quite good. I actually like it better than the "serrated" sound.
I'm impressed. Dexter is already in his mid 50's and he still sings like in the 80's
For his age is pretty god live, but consider that in last LP his voice is overproduced

This guy is a walking and talking singing anti-smoking campaign. His voice is incredible freaking 40-plus years after the band formed.
I think they doctor his voice in the studio. Not to shit on Dexter, I love their music, I'm just going off my impressions from comparing their live concerts and their studio recordings. Dexter doesn't quite have the same vocal range when they perform live.

@@richardbanks6637 The great thing about songs and other literary pieces is that you're always free to interpret them in different ways. If the artist confirmed a certain meaning then that's the official message, but how a song resonates with people or makes them feel is all valid (even if different from the creator's original intention) because it's part of why that piece appeals to that audience member.
Arguably the only way to not die alone is to die in an accident/catastrophe with other people, but that's obviously a really shitty thing to have happen, so nobody in their right mind would ever wish to die with others (only semi exception is fighting to the death amongst comrades, but still)
This is the best music at this album in my opinion.
Breaking these bones is also pretty good, in my opinion.
