One thing I've not seen a lot of creators go too deeply into is the whole thing about creating pokestops, how to make gyms, reviewing in wayfarer and getting upgrades, and tools that can help. It's all pretty arcane, but that's both a reason to do it and a reason why it's hard to do.
Yes! I'm still not 100% sure what size cell constitutes a pokestop turning into a gym. An easy to digest guide would be great (and Nick is great at explaining technical pokemon things in layman's terms, so I think a time stamped guide would be great!)

What little I do know about cells I think is from his og videos on the subject, now that you mention it.
Nick has made a couple videos about this already. One was about how cells work and the other was how submitting and reviewing works. To be fair those videos are old now so some of the information is outdated but the majority of the information is still the same. It's worth looking into if you want to learn more about creating pokestops/gyms.
Size 14 cells dictate how many gyms are in them based on how many points of interest are in them.
0-1 POI = 0 gym
2-5 POI = 1 gym
6-19 POI = 2 gym
20-34 POI = 3 gym
Size 17 cells can only contain one point of interest and a point of interest can't be within 20 meters of another.
Size 20 cells are the cells that spawn Pokemon. Pokemon spawn hourly and last the same amount of time; typically they last a half hour though some spawn points last the entire hour.
(EX/elite gyms have always been a little bit of a mystery to me because Niantic is so notoriously bad about updating that system)

Please make a video about the best "Pokemon Go travel gear" - like powerbanks, coffee travel mugs, snacks to eat to have enough energy, backpacks, maybe even mobile fans to cool down the smartphone as almost every device gets too hot in the sun and throttles down, caps, sunscreen, etc. Some of us players are gear nerds as well and would love to learn more about how we could improve the game by having better gear and more stuff with us to make long grinding sessions more enjoyable.

9:42 Please make a video researching, debunking or confirming myths about Pokémon spawn points. Over the years, I've noticed, for example that Chansey were more likely to spawn at malls and parking lots (it was more likely back in 2016-2017). Certain Pokémon would spawn at Pokéstops with certain titles. Say a Pokéstop has fire in the title and a fire type Pokémon spawns near that Pokéstop. I noticed one time a Galarian Moltres spawned near a fire station. It would clear up certain unknowns about Pokémon spawns. Thanks!

I want a lore video that summarizes all the lore we know about Spark (like that his mini electraboi that runs off, that he hatches eggs, etc), And similar videos about Blanche, the female grunt, and the Rocket leaders. Hunting trail cameras are fastened to trees/poles with clamps (if that's the right word) maybe that's something that could work for yours too, if you cannot easily find objects for your camera's surface.

Video idea, with all of the travel talk a good video for info that I don't think I have seen, is a video covering all of the best places to play GO in each state of the US, such as this park in this city is a must see if you are traveling through the US and if it does good you can expand to other countries and do something similar

Nick not going to gofest is actually pretty depressing. I always love the excitement around the summer but not having him there just feels like something is missing imo.
Could you make a video about travel. What all goes into booking trips to go do Pokemon events in different countries? Where you find places to stay, things to avoid and anything else you can think of? I think people have the desire to go places but are afraid of what all it entails.
A quick tip .. I keep a folder - called POWER UP - where I keep a store of low CP pokemon that only need 200 stardust to power them up. Saves a LOT of stardust during power up research tasks. I got the idea from someone else but it is a REALLY good idea

I have been trying to declutter my poke storage but have also been kind of interested in starting to pvp, so I think a vid id like to see is the general things to look for when it comes ot PVP pokemon, shadows, meta relavent pokemon for pvp and all that to see whats worth keeping or what can be deleted. For a video, you could create a new Pokemon Go account and see how much of the Pokedex you can fill out in a day/week. It would be cool to see how much content is available from the start and how much is locked behind events. You could even make it a challenge if you wanted, like see if you could register 100 in one day, it could bring back some of the magic from chasing shadows on your nearby list
Video topic idea: Showcases. How it calculates points, strategies, etc
The ratios for biome would be nice. Im fairly sure that theres a lean to specific nests now that ive seen a few 'beach' biased poke near the small river near by.
Can you go over showcases? What to prioritize and how to figure out a pokemon's size score? How long before you can again use a pokemon that won a recent (?) spotlight. Keep up the great work.
Unanswered questions:
1. Why TO THIS DAY can't we discard eggs we collect?! Every other Pokémon or item (pretty much) we can discard, but not eggs we collect.
2. Why is there no easy way to know what fast moves and charge moves are legacy moves and/or are or are not accessible via Elite TMs?
3. Why is there no easy way to locate nests in Go? (There in the early days was contributing players to Silph Road but Niantic ended their partnership with them very publicly forcing them to cease operating). I would LOVE the opportunity to see within the in game map (that currently allows you to see raids, routes and meet ups) to see nests, so that I could try and go after shinies I've never been able to get after so many years of trying.
4. Why have Niantic been unable to completely stamp out spoofing to this day? There are plenty of players that still do it and there are MANY mechanisms which Niantic could use to detect them and ban them, but they don't. To name but a few - travelling insanely large distances in short times (surely if you just use an speed calculator built into the logging on differences in time and location then you can figure out that if someone has logged into the game in both New York and Japan with a time difference of only 4 hours, we know that this is simply not possible). Therefore if a speed calculation is detected (distance / time) as being faster than say 500mph, you should be able to display warnings to these players. Secondly, Pokémon caught in a wide variety of locations in a player's Pokémon storage which indicates a large number of unique locations in a set time. This implies the player does not have the financial ability to be able to do this because travelling constantly is only within reach if you're extremely wealthy or retired, and let's face it, retired people generally aren't playing Pokémon Go. Sending gifts from countries not of the player's home origin to their friends in quick succession and AFTER they have logged back into the country in which they are based. Participating in 'in-person' raids that are indicative of being outside of the player's home country on a repeated basis.
Easy. If you could discard eggs they would sell a hell of a lot less incubators.
@@JohnDoe-ld8nr yeah mate nah mate. i'd be inclined to agree, niantic greed and all, but they capped the remote raids. if their one and only goal was to make as much money as they can possibly muster, then they wouldn't have done that. it's fairly undeniable that they're losing money from the capped remote raids more than they'd lose from eggs being able to be thrown out. i did over 100 raids for Origin Dialga/Palkia, most of them remote. i've never bought an incubator. some people it's the other way around, they but hundreds of incubators and dgaf about remote raiding.
tl;dr niantic is losing money from the capped remote raids, they can afford to lose a little more from us being able to toss eggs
@@SmokeyEdits Nah man, capping remote raids is about engagement. Very very few people hit the remote raid cap and having a cap forces them to play additional days that they might not have played during events if they could have just balled out on 1 day.
2: If you have an Android, Calcy IV shows you which moves are legacy or otherwise unavailable.
@@JohnDoe-ld8nr they could put an egg hatching cap in to balance this out (not sure if there's already one in place? There are caps on the maximum number of Pokémon you can catch in one day and number of pokestops you can spin.
In the case of eggs, I just sense Niantic are very lazy with regards to some aspects of their programming. When they release an update what it does is it normally breaks something else that's already been in the game a while without an issue. This is poor code management between all the developers and version control and retention of previous lines of code between the different parts of the code that will be worked on by different people.
And I'm more on the side of SmokeyEdits when it comes to this. It should solely come back to choice in how you want to play your game. Raids have been a BIG money maker for them since their first introduction in 2017, however eggs have been around longer than that and have just been neglected.
With everything else whether it's raids you go to and attempt and/or join remotely or whether it's Pokémon you're catching in the wild you have a choice because you can see what is on the in game map, you can see nearby raids, you can see (some) Pokémon on pokestops and can choose whether to engage or not.
Eggs currently are just a side effect/after thought because you just pick them up automatically from a pokestop or gym (and you need to spin these to keep your items replenished to partake in all other aspects of play whether it's catching or healing your Pokémon to taking down a gym and then place a Pokémon you've healed before in the gym as a defender). Sometimes there's limited events where we know what's going to be in an egg but still during normal gameplay you should be given the choice as to whether you want to keep 2km eggs (based on what could be inside them), 5km eggs, 7km eggs, 10km eggs or 12km eggs and discard the ones you do not wish to hatch or try for the shiny of.
It would be like randomly being placed into a raid once per day that you don't really want to do but you just had to because Niantic have it as part of their code. Or that you were forced into a Pokémon encounter that you couldn't flee from and it forced you to catch it without a run option (imagine the daily spawn just forcing the encounter and forcing you to catch it). The analogy here is if you literally only had 15 pokeballs at the start of the day and the game forced you to catch something you didn't want, it's not very fair, because you'd rather save those 15 balls for something else. Exactly same thing goes for eggs. I don't want to use my walking distance on Pokémon I don't want to hatch. There should always be a CHOICE as to which eggs I want to keep and whether I even want to hatch them in the first place.

Unanswered PoGo question: what does a PoGo Nuzlocke look like?
I'll suggest these rules, but someone needs to playtest it (and modify the rules to up the difficulty):
&
1 Not just starting from scratch. Like... every player must be able to start a nuzlocke at any time.
2 You may only keep 6 (or 10) of each type of pokemon. Example: ten water pokemon, ten fire, etc. You have to be really careful about type crossovers! And about Pokemon spawn rotations! (Alternatively: you're only allowed one of each pokemon, e.g. one charmander means zero charmeleons, one bulbasaur, etc.)
3 Screenshot your stardust/items/pokeballs at the start of the nuzlocke, and you may only spent stardust/items you got after the start of the nuzlocke
4 Win condition: Can you defeat a 3* (or 4*) raid by yourself, by the end of the week/forthnight/month, using only your new pokemon?
5 To counter pay-to-win, remote raid passes may only be bought with coins the player earned from gyms after the start of the nuzlocke (every player must be able to participate)
6 Once you get a shiny, you have to throw away ALL pokemon of that family. Example: You've evolved your 3* Gible to Garchomp, and you encounter a shiny 0* Gible? Now you must delete your garchomp.

Probably did a video on this a long time back but when I tried duo clearing shadow raikuo 2 months back I had a real issue getting the purify gems to work at all which are primarily just for shadow legendaries. Now because of that I also missed out on all the shadow mewtwos the tail end of that month as well 😅😞

I'm a relatively new player and there seem to be a lot of in-depth mechanics with trading, some type of deep dive video helping explain mirror trade farming and how to use it efficiently to basically re-roll any Pokémon with a friend is a topic often covered but not well explained in my research of GO. To evolve Charcadet you can find a rocket grunt with either psychic or ghost, knockout 2 Pokémon and surrender. Rinse and repeat for evolutions

For videos, I'd probably recommend Tips for Starters, or returning to the game. Sumamries of the Rocket battles, GBL, Field Research like holding onto a scan task to technically get 2 tasks from a stop. All the little things that were easy to miss
So I went down both routes for the power up quests. I got my 96% O-Dialga to level 40 and also powered up my Hundo Incineroar quite a bit as well once I got to powering up rock and fairy types 15 times I used really low level mons for that
You asked for our questions... here's one I haven't seen answered: You know how it is when you run your autocatcher of choice, you can catch/spin whatever you can linger close enough to for the time it takes to process. So, perhaps your catcher of choice can spin a streetside pokestop at 20mph while you are driving, for instance. If you have Spatial Rend active, with the larger diameter circle of influence, does that buy you a larger range for your catcher to be able to reach a little more/further at a higher mph, like could i maybe spin stops at 30 mph if I activate Spatial Rend? This is just an idea I had while I was driving home last night and trying to watch what speed my catcher was able to reliably spin stops. Just a thought! I have neither the time, nor the candy to test it myself with my chump "regular job"! LOL Happy hunting!

A video more about the biomes would be interesting. There doesn't seem to be a lot of coverage on this (and it's probably not the most enthralling topic to everyone but still). It would be really cool to document the various biomes you encounter during your travel this summer especially if it's a lot of international travel, maybe you can show off some biomes most people will rarely see.
(Personally I think the biomes update would have had a bit better reception if it didn't follow on after the characters update...)

On a video idea, maybe you already did this, I should probably go through your archive, but I'm always looking for Go Battle League tips. Especially when there's a new Go Battle League event with limited selection - what are the best pokemon and movesets to use in different situations, when to use shields, when to swap pokemon, etc.
Another video idea (again, this might be in your archive) is to go through all the event exclusive pokemon (e.g. pikachu with a hat), when they came out, holidays/fests/other events, if they've repeated, regular vs shinies, etc.
Final idea (again, maybe already done), but something about rare spawns. Not "this event pokemon was available once in 2019" or even "this regional exclusive is only available in Antartica", but more like things that could conceivably spawn anywhere in the world at any time, but super rare. Like finishing your unown list etc.
Oh, bonus idea. How about "missing" pokemon? E.g. the pokedex suggests there should be up to 20 different spinda patterns, but as far as I know there have been 8 plus the valentines day one (or maybe the other entries are for shinies? I don't have any.) Are there other "missing" entries.
Aw, I admit I was looking forward to a "return to Sendai" sidequest from TrainerTips during GoFest since you did the Lapras event way back in the day. Oh well. You'll have Japan videos with your 2 group trips though.
I get it for super loud cars, but for motorcycles sound is the best safety system. They may not be able to see you, but they will be able to hear you.

Would love to see a video on how to submit a pokestop or more importantly what makes a good pokestop. This might be something you could do while traveling or in rural areas to give examples for that community as well. Overall I think it's an under explored topic and with the refined player base I think that knowledge being more prevalent has a low likelihood of being abused

I got my Diancie last year 8/26. I got 14,14,14. of course, mega 3, Buddy 5, and powered to level 40. only have 9 Candie XL.

You can count 1 less time when powering up....the candy is already there for the first powerup...so if you have 3 times...just tap twice to finish it.
The only unanswered question I could think of was why the 7km egg pool has been almost unchanged for so long
Whenever there is a new Gen, new Region you used to cover what Pokémon to expect that can be good in battles, etc. We haven't seen that since Unova region. It will be good if you can do a video on best Pokémon to anticipate for Paldea region since Paldea is the current latest region that has been released.

Seems like the latest "events" are designed to clear out your resources. Between the power ups for this (stardust), the recent Kanto event had you catching 151 Pokémon, plus berries. I am burning through supplies faster than i can take them in! I think that's the real goal with these. Get out. Spin more stops. Or buy more supplies.
