Addiction is so hard!!! Both of my parents celebrated 30 years sober in the last year, and my brother struggled with it as well. Love songs that show what it can do, both to the addict, and those who love them. This def hit different. As someone who's had to walk away from addicts I loved, lost addicts I've loved, lived with addicts & watched lives change with sobriety after addiction... you broke this down beautifully and very respectfully.
Congrats to your parents sobriety! You are a strong woman !

So glad u guys got to get to the song love this.... addiction is so hard and affects so many families for people I lost my 17 year old nephew to Fentanyl a year ago.. love your reactions and just want to say keep your head up to anybody fighting addiction including families dealing with the family member with addiction... 💯😢🖤

From my experience, there are two parts of addiction: physical and mental. Physical addiction is a horror but can be conquered.
The mental part, where someone uses to treat or blunt mental pain, is harder to beat but until that happens, getting physically clean is temporary.
