I have been under anaesthetics once. I had brain surgery when I was 15. They actually woke me up whilst working on my brain. I had to count down from 20 to 1 repeatedly, it was weird.
They have to make sure they didn't fuck up your brain

Thankfully I've never had to have surgery, but I was deathly afraid of the doctor, dentist etc. when I was a kid. I always appreciated the sweet nurses who tried to calm me down, lol.

IRL...No matter how much pain and fear I felt when I entered the E.R. after a car accident IRL, it was an R.N. that gave me comfort and assurance that everything would return to normal. To this day, I still have an unending loyalty to RNs around the world.

Got put to sleep to have my wisdom teeth taken out last month and my interaction with the nurse was "do you have any questions?" "No" then i woke up in a wheelchair

Bruh this reminds me of the surgery I had after my motorcycle accident where some stupid Turkish taxi driver ran through red light and instead of helping me or at least dragging my unconscious body from the road, he was just screaming like crazy.
The first time surgery experience wasn't that bad but what was bad were the doctors who were just sadistic or something because they were just straight up ripping the bandages from my leg instead of making them wet with alcohol like all the nurses did.
Luckily I wouldn't experience this again since I can't drive regular motorcycles anymore and choppers are mostly driven by old man in my country.
Well, fortunately I can still drive my other toys like the Supra mk2, Civic VIII with iconic Honda V-Tec engine and my US import, supercharged Hellcat which drains my wallet quicker than the Steam Store summer sales ๐

I can't squat to pick things up, I have to sit down to put my shoes on and it's hard to me to pick things up from the floor because I can only bend my left leg to a 81ยฐ angle but I learned to deal with it. At least the numb feeling is gone, which made me grab my broom stick to press the clutch pedal on my car or rent a automatic transmission car like a Toyota Yaris in order to drive to work and back home.
But honestly, it could been much worse than it is now. I could have lost my leg since it got crushed a bit during the accident.
If I would experience this kind of event in the US, I would probably have to pay off a 60.000$us hospital bill.
After all, I visited my grandma's sister in Denver and I cut my leg while driving a custom chopper and for a small, deep cut, I would pay 1281,19$ (after taxes) but in the end I had to pay 61,19$ since I had a travel health insurance
Random question: is it normal for people who get put under at a young age to be physically held down through the procedure? Just wondering if I was unusual in that. ๐
While I donโt remember hold old I was then it was well before I had appendicitis in 3rd grade soโฆ yeah. Pretty young.

I had to get one last year for breaking my own arm due to self harm it wasnโt that bad but I still needed surgery I was scared yet didnโt care if the anesthetics went to my brain and killed me
