    AD* I approached BLKBOX at the end of last year due to some mutual connections and a desire to work with them, I sent them over a list of what I would (ultimately) be after, and they very kindly then offered me a reduced rate in return for working with them on the project.

    The horse stall mats you used is the #1 thing to use for flooring as it really is the best at protecting your floor. Pretty much everyone uses it because it is the best.

    Hello Fergus, I'm building a home gym (literally from scratch in some space in the garden) and was wondering how the coating on the Belfast bar has held up? Any discolouration or fading around the grips or J hook areas? I'm sold on a load of BLK BOX gear for my gym but was debating between a Stainless Steel bar from another company or the Belfast bar....keen to know how yours has worn. Thanks for your time.
    Keep up the great work, you're an inspiration!

    Hi Fergus, enjoying the videos very much! Thank you for putting it all together.
    did you do anything in terms of insulation? I have a similar door garage and was wondering if sealing the gaps is necessary. I got all sort of bugs coming in !

      Thanks man! I’ve actually had no issues with that at all - which is lucky I think! Might be a case of trying and seeing what happens 🤷‍♂️

      Thanks, Fergus. I'll see how it goes. Were you training in the garage during winter? Was it manageable?

    New to channel and enjoying the content. Similar question from me, what particular mats did you go for in the end and how are you getting on with them, they've got quite a few different types.

      Thanks man, appreciate it - I'm afraid I can't find the exact ones I went for as I actually bought them from someone who had a surplus of them, but I believeeee they're the 17mm model!

    • @ferguscrawley95
      @ferguscrawley95  Před 2 lety

      Excellent! Only thing in my gym that’s not from them is the Texas DL bar as it’s a very specialist bit of kit, other than that they have me covered across the board!

    Wouldn't adjustable dumbells be more sensible to save room?

    • @ferguscrawley95
      @ferguscrawley95  Před 2 lety +1

      I’m not a fan of them, and can’t really throw them around nearly as effectively for more dynamic work, and they don’t eat up space that I would’ve used for anything else really!

    Where do you put all your crap that normally goes in a garage?

  • @knightveg

    never understand why people buy flat bench and utility bench in a small gym,
    could have brought a leg extension/leg curl bench

    • @ferguscrawley95
      @ferguscrawley95  Před 3 lety

      Flat bench = powerlifting bench press specific due to height and shape. Utility bench = useful for assistance exercises.
      = most effective compromise on space for my goals/training demands.
      Leg extension and leg curl bench completely futile for my training demand, and again, not a good use of space for my personal goals - all dependent on that at the end of the day!
