It takes courage to attempt a composition by Pt. Hridaynath and sung by Lata ji. One of the few who can make that attempt and not end up insulting either legend is Kaushiki ji.
True. But even this classical master cannot reach Lata's heights. Not even close. Not even 50%. Lata is Lata. Pure goddess of music herself singing.
Gaurav Tulpule You are so right bhaia! She sang both the Marathi and the Bengali compositions in this tune. Originally both sung by our living Saraswati Lataji! Kaushiki is the pride of India just like Lataji and Ashaji in their generation.
@@Swarmandal1025 Mukharjee, let's not talk of the two legends in the same breath as Kaushiki. They are faaaar above her. Kaushiki has extremely good potential. But Lata Asha were/are god's gift to mankind. Literally. Kaushiki might reach there in 30-40 years. But nowhere near as of now.

Let the names and talents of Pandit Hridaynath & Lataji not, with utmost respect for both, eclipse Sant Dnyaneshwar, the poet of these words. It is because of His nectar only that Hridaynath had inspiration to compose such a beautiful melody. It is about time that we leave these comparisons. See it not as a mere song by Lataji or a composition, see it as Dnyaneshwar's verses. Everyone has the right to sing Sant Dnyaneshwar's verses. He wrote not only for Hridaynath or for Lataji, but for all of humanity. Kaushiki has sung His verses well with her own expression.
Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia a great Flutist and a great human being like his uncle Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
অসাধারণ সুন্দর এক সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন হল। বাঁশি, তানপুরা, হারমোনিয়াম, তবলার বিছানো ক্যানভাসে গায়িকা কৌশিকি চক্রবর্তী অনবদ্য এক ছবি আঁকলেন। ওনার গানের সঙ্গে বাঁশি, তানপুরা, হারমোনিয়াম , তবলা মিলেমিশে একাকার। খুব ভাল লাগল। সবাই কে অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ।
कौशिकीजी खरोखरच कर्णमधुर गायन व तितकीच सुंदर बासरीची साथ अणि महत्त्वाचं म्हणजे आपली नम्रता. "विद्या विनयेन शोभते" असं म्हणतात ते उगाचच नाही. 🙏 🙏 🙏
