This is going to sound odd but I appreciate this comment. I'm a blind player who's been playing KI for about half a year now. I personally know how the characters are designed and what they do because of my experience with the game, but whether or not it was your intent, a comment like this could probably help other blind players who are getting into the game and want to find a main. All the descriptions of the characters are really nice. I'll probably recommend this video to any of the few other blind friends I have, provided they ever want to get into the game.

I know it's been said over and over, but the sound design on this game is top tier. It already sounds good when playing it, but when you can sit back and watch it without being involved in the action it somehow sounds even better.

This was the game I bought an xbox just so I could play it. Loved the original and I got the the version thats got every character and kI 1and 2 classic versions to play as well. Really cool and brings back memories
Started to play the game in the past week. I had only the PS4. This year when I got my PC one of the first games I imediately though was Killer Instinct. Not disapointed at all. 7,5 years later and still looks beautiful from the gameplay videos I watched back in 2013. The gameplay itself is simple and very fun to play.

KI's biggest flaw, is that it wants to compete with MK, but it's always been too afraid to actually compete with MK on the same level. While MK fatalities may be way over the top in most cases, KI ultimates are all really big let downs because they don't show the good parts.
Only the originals were specifically made to compete with MK. Nowadays the reboot was clearly trying to do different things with its cast and combo systems. This game's Ultimates are more like a callback to when they obviously WERE crimping on MK's style. I guess what I'm saying is that if the old game's hadn't established Ultimates, the reboot probably wouldn't have had them
I wouldn't really call it a flaw. I don't think it wants to compete with MK it's obvious the drawing factor is the combo system. I honestly like these finishers more than most of the fatalities in the past 3 mk games specifically the nrs mk games. I just don't like when fatalities became overdone and had like two fatalities in one. With most of them still mutilating the body when the opponent is dead.
lol. they would lose sells if they made it rated M. by keeping the gore to a minimum they can market it to a much wider range of audience. this is why Destiny doesn't have blood in it. because it is marketed to include kids. Bigger audience = more sells.
Man, i can't do shit in Killer Instinct in terms of combos, but i would LOVE to play this one too! Too bad my hardware is too old for this game. I freaking LOVE the character design, and the soundtrack... mmm... it is beyond perfect for a fighting game!

@@samquik Kinda weird cause they had time to give more than half the other characters ultimates. if it were a time or budget issue maybe they should have focused on other aspects of the game. imo it just feels unbalanced that only certain characters have finishers, but maybe thats just me. hopefully we hear about a new KI project soon cause i would love for the series to continue

Game is competent, but it just lacks the soul of the first two games. The character models look good, but they don't act or *feel* like the original KI characters, they feel hollow, corporate, and plastic. And they don't even do their iconic moves that defined them in a lot of cases. For example, why didn't Glacius do even one puddle melt in his combo?

Un jeu que je ne pourrai jamais joué, mais j'ai beaucoup joué à la première version arcade, la version SNes et surtout le Killer Instinct Gold sur N64, j'y joue encore de temps en temps mais un truc me fait bizarre. Ce Tusk là... Sur le Gold, il me rappelait un peu le genre Conan le Barbare, il était cool, musculeux et tout bref, un de mes persos préférés. Mais là, on dirait un Siegfrid échappé d'un Soul Calibur, rien à voir avec le Tusk originel de la N64. Même si le perso est bien fait, je le trouve pas aussi bien que s'il aurait été fait façon N64 avec des graphismes de maintenant, dommage... C'est que mon avis personnel mais voilà... Cela dit, merci pour cette vidéo, cette version de KI a vraiment l'air cool

The best version of him by far imo. Did you know that when a tribe complained about his costume's accuracy, they designed a free new costume for him together? At least that's what I've read.
This Killer instinct, the moves are to staccato, it needs fluidity. It's not "bang! bang! bang!". It should flow, be smooth. More like "bangbangbang". Let it flow before it crashes. Like water. Be water my friend.

The game was released without Finishers. Fans demanded finishers. They were added but didn't have to be too violent because of the rating. But they are incomplete since the developer changed. Bottom line - don't listen to fans. Their opinions suck.
Am I the only one who feels that mkx copied the gameplay of killer instinct? After all, this game was released in 2013 while mkx was released in 2015. If you compare both games, you will see a lot of similarities.

Thing is, the game was rated T before they added the Ultimates. I guess they had to do their best not to accidently get more violent than the rating.

Are stage finishers only for the exact hero or can anyone do a stage finisher as long as it is a stage finisher map?
Anyone can do it. But only on the shown maps. I'm not sure, but I think the input for each stage finisher is in their pause menu movelist.

No guests, no characters that look like others (Dark Jago, Eagle, Mira, SHin HIsako ect) (Yes Mira looks too much like Sadira to me)

The game was released without Finishers. Fans demanded finishers. They were added but didn't have to be too violent because of the rating. But they are incomplete since the developer changed. Bottom line - don't listen to fans. Their opinions suck.

Am I the only one who feels that mkx copied the gameplay of killer instinct? After all, this game was released in 2013 while mkx was released in 2015. If you compare both games, you will see a lot of similarities.
