  • Cab view of the run from the departures of Mt. Arthur coal mine to Drayton Jct in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales. This route passes over Thomas Mitchell Drive as well as the New England Highway. Drayton Junction itself is not captured in this video as he train is held at the Home signal prior to the crossing loop just before joining the Main North Line. The Drayton coal loop (now known as Malabar) is also seen in this video, though coal is currently not loaded out of there now, it is used as a stowing location for surplus rakes.
All in cab procedures were followed during the filming of this video.

Thank you, I'll keep them coming. I realise these videos aren't the best quality, but it's a way I can share what I see at work with others, as well as preserve these routes before inevitable changes. There have been so many changes in the 14 years I've been on the footplate that I wish I had recorded them years ago.

Not running red signals. Not like previous video coming into crossing loop passed 2 red signals heading towards coal loader. They weren't green or yellow.

Which video was that? No red signals were passed or I'd possibly be out of a job. They were probably Calling On signals (two red lights, with a little yellow light below)
