You can relate to RM and Suga. In Kpop, the rappers are looked down on for not being "real rappers". And RM and Suga came out of the underground rap scene, and their contemporaries called them "girls", because they became idols, and wore make-up on stage. And the kpop community looked down on them for not fitting the idol standards.

I don’t know how can I explain on the Agust D mixtape song The Last I can feel the emotion and pain on this particular song as well So Far Away is so beautiful
Every time he finishes the last of those super fast bars at about 1:40 I always take a deep breath realizing i have been holdin it in the whole time he's going off

My level of respect for him has shot through the roof!
I bump this track on the regular. This song made me hungry to hear everything else the rap line produced. I'm a major rap and hiphop fan and they are exactly my taste. Good music will always move us, regardless of language. BTS in general gives me so much to appreciate. It is never, "I like the flow but not the lyrics. The choreography is cool but the melody is so-so." NEVER. Every element is always on point. Even when a BTS song doesn't appeal to me (there are so few it doesn't even warrant listing) I can never say it's because the song itself is bad. BTS & BigHit never half-ass anything. I can only respect that.

Don't feel bad, a lot of people were sleeping on AGUST D....in ur case u were unaware...ARMY will always help u out...he has a mixtape, if u want to know what he is saying, u can look up the lyric videos of each song....
AGUST D is DT stands for his home town, he talks about it in this song...and the rest of the name AGUS is Suga spelled backwards...
He has been clocked at 174 syllables...I believe, I may be off one or two, that is why his flow can be that fast....
Oh and the song in the background at the beginning and throughout the song...that is James Brown "Its A Man's World"....and in my opinion, anyone...and yes I mean anyone who has enuf guts to use James Brown and use him well in their own song...he has my attention....I really can't think of another artist Korean, American, British or otherwise who has used James Brown the way he did....if someone can tell me another artist I will gladly listen......u have a good day......💜💜💜💜 and thanks for listening
i recommend The Last, Give It To Me and So Far Away. the original So Far Away is featuring a female singer called Suran, but suga did a version of So Far Away which features Jin and Jungkook (of bts) that I actually prefer. so check out whichever you like. Give It To Me is the only other track with a music video, the rest have Lyric videos here on CZcams. have a nice day!

Thank you for your reaction BTS (AGUST D) SUGA - Suga is my bias (I think you would enjoy learning more about Suga) he has not had an easy life. When he first came to Seoul (after his parents did not support his dream of making music) he was so poor - became a trainee and was run over by a car when was trying to make some money delivering goods. He did not tell Big Hits about his sever injury because he was afraid they would let him so. He performed in pain for a very long time until he had to let Big Hits know and he ended having to have surgery. I am so glad Suga is back.

edit: All forms of art are beautiful and precious. We need art to lift our souls from the black abyss of the life we live in the urban jungle. Dancing and music in general is my drug because of its liberating power. If people are busy criticizing an individuals expression then they are too busy being miserable. I love you passion for music and dance. Also, dancing is the same as singing but instead of using sound you use your body to play the notes, to tell a story and to feel. Dance is a beautiful art form and I am actually happy we as a society are becoming more aware of it
Yeah it is good to see dance coming back into vogue as an art form that is more widely appreciated. for a discipline that is so tough, it deserves respect. also, check out 'the last' by agust d (a very personal track from Suga), but also, check out Suga's solo track on the album 'Wings' entitled: 'First love' , it is a powerful emotional rap, and probably his biggest masterpiece so far. it's amazing (no mv, so watch a lyric video, or maybe his live performance , which is stunning).

I’ve watched this video so many times and I’m always focused on sound and lyrics so this was the first time I noticed that he goes off when he frees himself like omg even video is perfect
Korean has way more syllables than english. Suga has coined his rapping as "tongue technology" because he raps very very fast. So what you're hearing is as incredible as you imagine.
I'm also going to recommend The Last, it's such a deep and emotional song. Imo his ability to convey a lot of emotion is one of Suga's greatest strengths as a rapper. First love (about his love of music) is another really good emotional one, he apparently cried a good deal when recording it because it's so special to him.

Edit: Okay so yeah. "Agust D" was the first song I ever heard from Suga's solo work and the second I heard that James Brown sample come in, I was in love. Always been one of my favorites, so glad you liked it! If you want something on a similar vein, you could try "Give It To Me" from that mixtape as well (there's even flashes of this MV in that MV). But if you want to hear something different and deep from him, try "The Last" instead. That one legit made me cry. On the polar opposite end, there's solo songs of his like "Seesaw" where he's actually singing and it's adorable. You could see a bit of it during the solos of their KBS Song Festival performance that you haven't gotten around to yet (cough)(hint)(subtlety). 🤭

I really loved your last commentary, its not only a kpop thing, its the korean culture itself.. why they are so close, so touching to each other, the clothes, the way the care about their skin and hair, etc. "manliness" there its really different and its something that close minded people don't want to understand.

My first reaction to Agust D was in the car. I do food delivery, so I got Pandora going on their Korean hip-hop station. The Last came on. I was feeling it so hard that I had to pull tf over. Now, I don't understand Korean, but I do understand flow, cadence, rhythm, timing, tone, timbre, etc.. I was getting emotional af for some reason. The song ended and I paused the station to look up the lyrics. Shit yo. I related so hard I started crying. So then I look up who tf this Agust D is and learn that it's some dude from BTS (who I had heard of but I hadn't listened to them yet). I thought, yo I have to give BTS a legit listen now. And that's my ARMY origin story and why Yoongi's my bias.

after checking AGUST D's tracks (mixtape), you gotta check RM's joke and his mixtapes as well as JHOPE's DAYDREAM, MIXTAPE TOO.
I know it can be a bit confusing how their titles are presented in some of the intro videos . Break down : The group is divided into 4 main “Lines” (sub categories ): Rap, singing , dancing , and visuals. So “lead rappers” are Suga, Rm, and J-hope . “Lead singers” are JK, Jin , V, and Jimin. “Lead dancers” are JK, J-Hope, and Jimin. “Lead visual” ( good looks) are Jin, V, and JK. RM is the leader for the whole group because he was the first member to join , he helps translates for group abroad, and he has great leadership skills to keep the group on task and successful . [side note - jk used to rap in the early days of BTS and in 2018 -the dance director said that V earned a spot on the “ dance line “ after he showed his improved dancing skills in the singularity video.
The other “lines” or subcategories are “Makane line “(youngest ) which is JK,V, and Jimin the “Hyung line “ (older brother ) - j-hope, RM, Suga, and Jin. There is also the “95 line” which is V and Jimin because they were born in ‘95. Sorry the explanation is so long - if I missed anything someone is bound to jump all down my throat about missing a detail.

"The Last" is such a deeply touching personal track, here's the best lyric video, I think: czcams.com/video/sezHEFJ3hxE/video.html "First Love" (lyric video) is also very personal and clever: he raps in two different voices, one for himself and one for the piano he talks to. Another brilliant song is "Tony Montana". There is a fantastic live version with Jimin, where you can see Suga's swag on stage. You should check out Yoongi's mixtape sometime there's another one with an MV it's called Agust D - Give it to me, the other songs don't have MVs but there's lyric videos floating around on CZcams, "The Last" is a very eye opening track (I honestly broke down and sobbed a whole night when I first heard it LOL) but yeah I also can't wait till you react to PLT 😇😇😇👀👀👀, also regarding BTS all rappers have mixtapes my personal favourite is Hope World by J-Hope, it has 7 tracks but it's only around 20 minutes long in total so if you do react to that I personally would recommend to listen to the whole thing because I feel the way the songs are laid out is honestly perfect to listen to from start to end (there are 2 music videos, 1 for Daydream which is the 3rd track and 1 for Airplane which is the 6th track, but the whole thing can be found on CZcams with lyrics and also there's some download links floating around on Twitter where you can download all their mixtapes for free (legally! Do let me know if you need a link I can dig it up), also Hope World sounds a lot more upbeat funky / and makes you wanna dance, though the lyrics aren't all that upbeat, I'm chronically depressed and listening to Hope World makes me feel slightly better. Namjoon has 2 mixtapes, Mono is his latest which he calls a playlist instead of a mixtape, Mono is very different from his first mixtape (which was called RM) for me personally I can't listen to Mono often because it makes me more depressed 😥 a lot of the songs are quite sad it's really good though, his first mixtape is a lot more aggressive

You should check out 'Give it to Me' by Agust D. Also, RM has an older mixtape and has a video for his song 'Joke' that you should definitely check out.
Unfortunately they had to take this song of Spotify because they could not maintain the rights to the sampled song. I'm not sure about other music sources. Maybe others can tell us if you can still get it anywhere else. Obviously they can't get it off CZcams and physical albums. Makes me sad. I love this song.
I'm guessing you've already listened to BTS First Love where only Suga sings, but in case you haven't, do so. He's not spitting bars but he's very intense on it.
