    Sometimes teams are merely firing on all cylinders. The Avs were aweful the last 4 weeks of the season. They were ON FIRE come playoffs. The only real adjustment the Avs needed, after game 1, was tighten up the defensive play to give Georgiev a chance. They did that. There were little to no weak goals scored, most all were screens, tips, rebounds, or great shots, from both sides. The way the Avs played, no goalie could have done much more. It comes down to the Jets' play in their defensive zone (give Helly a view of the puck, eliminate the open guy out front, PP opptys, odd-man rushes, or the one-timer from the weak side). That's not on Helly, and Lowry should have admitted this, in this interview. Avs fan, here.

    My opinion was the Jets players looked at the regular season against the Avs and didn't take them seriously. Lowry coverage on Makar because of a line change was crazy. Apparently Lowry doesn't watch Makar too much and forgot what he can do. Players like MacKinnon continue to learn the game. I disagree with what Helle said about learning curve.

  • @crystaldreamvisions6578
    @crystaldreamvisions6578 Před 24 dny +1

    Helle needs to learn how to express himself to his teammates and vice- versa. When he realized that he needed help, he might have asked for help rather than passive- aggressively keeping it to himself until he had an outburst. The way Georgiev's teammates supported him after that game 1 loss was a clear example of how champions adapt their game in real-time. Winning a Playoff series takes a full team effort by the players and the coaching staff. This team was not that team. The toxic team culture still persists as is evident by the disconnect & discord being publicly reflected here and also in the coach's previous post- game press coverage .

    Thank you everyone exactly what helly said traffic in front of him and shots from the point. Jets didn’t adjust to the style and should’ve done MORE PUCK PRESSURE NOT allowing them to setup. Jets did not change the style of play for playoffs. Time and space is less, teams will check harder. NO time to do pretty passes and the perfect passes.

    Avs were given all the chances and space to get the goals, its the teams fault not his. Without hellebuyck it wouldve been even WORSE. Our defence collapsed and this was what I was most afraid of before the series started. The only way we couldve won the series if our defense was as good as the regular season, Avs ripped it apart.

    Change the coach, please. I have no idea how much influence a coach has on their players, but a good team was made to look bad in less than two weeks. I would love to know how many players in the league are happy to cash in at the end of the season and check out of the city they live in. None of these guys get a pay cheque during the playoffs (I know they make some cash during playoffs), so I can see if some guy making 4 mil a year might just want to go home back to Sweden, or wherever, when the playoffs begin. Edited to add that I sound like Don Cherry. I'm referring to anyone who might want to go back to Arizona, or Peterborough, or wherever. Sweden was just an example.

    Helle never was the problem.. I believe being proactive and stopping Avs before they got into the zone could have made the difference in this series. Also line combos impacted things. Lots of things that are part of the reason why we didn't get the win in this series.

Winning a Regular season is no pressure losing a playoff game on home ice is PRESSURE, compete level needs to be survival like fight or flight attitude, if you choose fight it is all or nothing That is the Playoffs one on one battles I did not see that in the Jets at all what I saw "oh I get them next shift" mentality there is no next shift the alpha already beat you once and you are already dead
