Happy we can share this adventure from last year with you all. We loved hiking through the swamp, even though it was really cold. Coolest part was seeing the nutria or as Rae calls them, Swamp Beavers :) First time we have seen those.
Wow, great share you guys. That purple marsh bird you showed really surprised me. I thought I knew every bird there could be, but that was a new one. Purple Gallinule is one strange little guy. If you look it up, check out his feet. Super long toes let him grasp the tops of plants and walk on water vegetation. Would love to see one in person, and now thanks to you two, I will be able to keep an eye. out.
Glad you enjoyed it! We were just talking about getting a bird guide. There are so many beautiful birds that we see on our adventures but have no idea what they are. You will have to let us know when you see a Purple Gallinule.

Very cool! Love that boardwalk trail. Such a unique landscape. I’m sure those Nutrias don’t have a long lifespan in Gatorland 😬. Excellent video guys!
