My grandparents Jean and Charlie used to own this castle! I grew up here, definitely some of my fondest memories.
i always wondered, how after Katrina, people forgot the pyramid, pretty much next door, to the castle

Thanks for the tour! I would drive by it twice everyday to work in NOLA and back home in Slidell. Now that I've seen the inside, I don't think I could truly live there. They should turn into a small event center if the zoning allows it.

I drove past it for a number of years. Has it been shored up? I could have sworn in the early 2000’s it had a noticeable lean, as if one end was sinking.
As far as I know there was no lean to it. Seemed pretty sturdy and sound
