Morris Hayes is stealth. Always representing Prince with the outmost respect. He always has funny, insightful, and enlighting memories to share whenever I watch or listen to an interview from him. I guess it's lost on everybody that Prince probably spent the rest of his life doing to others what the Rolling Stones audience did to him. I mean, it is awesome to do that with a guitar you have to tune, but dude, that's some straight up ego right there.

this is good! as a musician and fan, i always wanted to hear about his approach to his music. what was a prince rehearsal like? over 40 yrs of musical stories we never heard about. i wish more of his musicians would tell stories such as this one

I wonder which gig Morris' story relates to... For Levi to have been there means it's in the brief 1992/93 period where Morris & Levi were both in the NPG. I'd love to see or hear this.

I think it was Joy in Repetition live with Larry Graham. He tunes that thing and goes right into the song. I dont think the video is up anymore.
