I was disappointed that we didn't get enough to see Mega Charizard Y in the anime, which happens to be a fairly underrated Pokemon. Charizard traditionally is a flier and a special attacker. With no disrespect to it's X mega evolution, Mega Y not only beholds but enhances Charizard's true essence. With 2 stab moves of flamethrower and fly, it would be good earthquake and dragon breath/pulse/claw. Regardless of that the pokedex entry if Mega Y states that the bond with it's trainer is the source of it's power. That is so Ash! Ash always had a special bond with it's Pokemon, especially the stars of his team, ranging from Pikachu, before mentioned Charizard, Sceptile, Infenape, Krookodule, the special dusk form of Lycanroc, now the Lucario and the very special Greninja! That's why I think Mega Charizard Y would be more suited to Ash! Without a doubt mega x is OP and perhaps broken.

Well charizard y has more disadvantage moves than charizard x but charizard y is a special attacker although it has 9 physical moves in them and only 4 special moves which is quite different from the characteristics of charizard y so according to me mega charizard x is more better than mega charizard y
