I live in Cannock well Hednesford next to it, it's not half the town it used to be, massive designer shopping centre opened just out side of town, this used to be a busling town full of shops and atmosphere, now it's in decay
@BVking509 it's a shame, really. I could just tell from walking around that once this was a popular centre.
@@travelwalkstv They shut both colleges alongside high business rates, closing the cinema, building the Asda on the outside of town, lack of investment, in the early 90s when I was young it was packed daily. Loads of individual shops and community events.
Shops got replaced with lesser ones, then closed. Online shopping also hit it hard.
There are plans for more investment, but done by a corrupt and badly run council won't bring people back. The whole sense of community and belonging has gone.
