Chevy Traverse 09-17- How to reset your Tire Pressure Monitoring system! Same for many Chevy trucks.

- Having tires that are the correct tire pressure is crucial to a smooth and safe drive. Over time your tires can lose air leading to a higher risk of an auto accident. In a lot of newer year vehicles, the manufactures have included a tire pressure monitoring system which alerts you when 1 or more of your tires are low. When you change out your tires or rotate them, it throws off your monitoring system and it will need to be reset. This video shows you how to reset your TPMS on Chevy Traverse 09-17 which is also the same for many other Chevy and GMC vehicles.

Great video. Although I was never able to get the tool to work on my 2015 Traverse, a BIG WARNING to anyone who tries. ROLL YOUR WINDOWS DOWN BEFORE YOU START!!! When I pushed the unlock/lock buttons, the car doors locked and I wasn't paying attention. So after trying on the first tire, I went back the door, only to find it locked with my "only key" inside.

Hey I just came across your video and got the machine for my traverse but it only beeps on one tire and I got the exact same one as you is there a certain spot I have to place it?
It would help if you showed steps on video instead of just saying "hold lock unlock at same time", etc.
Bought tool, noticed you push the button 1x, no need to hold it down, the one I got off of Amazon, you need to hold the button down for the green light to work. Did not work on my Chevy Traverse!!! Decent vid though!

TPMS Matching process is in the owner's manual, p 10-46. Doesn't require you to buy a tool.

I have a 2015 Traverse LS. I have this warning on now. I contacted a car repair shop, and they said most likely the sensor's battery is low and I should change all four. They said it will be $30/ sensor plus labor. Total about $300. Your solution said $12 or so. Would you please guide me which way I should proceed. Money is tight and also, I know zero about cars. Your support would be very useful for me.
Sorry to hear but if reset process doesn't work most likely needs to be maintained. Hope you get it fixed

I tried it on my Chevy Cruze and all the tire honk expect the driver side rear. Do you think I have a bad sensor on my driver side rear?

What do I do once I get up to my passenger side rear tire and I don't hear a beep.

Every thing was almost perfect expect it when he said hold down the lock and unlock at the same time( if he would have said hold on the lock and unlock on the car fogger that would have more clear
