worst video I've ever seen . 1) Ktm's aren't Enfield's so you can't expect comfort 2) ktm's aren't Enfield's hence they are fast ....I don't know why being fast can be a reason not to buy a Ktm . 3)3 passengers wala point was literally funny . that's because ktm's have a limiter installed that restricts their speed . 200cc ktm's have a limiter at 136 . even r15's can cross that speed being 150cc . it's about the power that a bike generates . do a drag race between a 200 Ktm and a 200 pulsar . you'll know why Ktm is a Ktm

yeah I know that.....I was talking of ktm's being fast and being fast includes both top speed and drag acceleration. most of the times you can't reach your top speed on indian road hence most of the times being fast is referred to as drag acceleration.

One thing very appreciable about KTM is that they listen to the complaints and rectify in the next iteration unlike the greedy lazy Royal Enfields. Hope the 2017 390 will be a bomb.
The 2017 KTM Duke 390 resolves most of these issues.
It's been built in Chakan by Bajaj.
I bet it comes with a newer set of mechanical and electrical problems.. ;) :D

We are pro KTM.
No offense, but these points are not really true..
1. Ride Quality - The hard seat and stiff suspensions take some getting used to. But if they weren't as such, they would not have scalpel sharp handling in corners. I have been riding the KTM Duke 200 for over 4 years now, and I am still very happy about it's ride quality. As for the fork oil seals, KTM has oil seal protectors on all it's models since past 2 years, and even adds them for older model KTMs, in case they don't already have them.
2. City Riding - I am yet to see a 390 which just shuts off in mid traffic. Never experienced this on my Duke 200 yet.
3. Seat Comfort - Like I said earlier, the seat takes some getting used to, but aftermarket gel seats are always available. As far as the pillion's review is concerned, yes, the seat is smaller. But then again, I have had mixed reviews there. Some find it adventurous and fun, while some wish for Hero Splendor like comfort. P.S: I'm glad that the third guy falls while attempting a triply.. Even the bike wishes to adhere to traffic rules.. 😜
4. Short Riders - That's absolutely true. So short riders, bad luck.
5. Too Fast - No doubt. But even the frantic nature of the 200s can be controlled after some practice. Ask Dhanil. 😉
But there is an important point here. Newbie riders should get some sort of training before just being allowed to ride one of these off the lot.

Still, the reasons provided in this video don't feel legit enough.
Instead, you should make a video titled "5 things to do before you buy a KTM".. That will have more value than this one..
Siddhant Tambe Doesn't KTM provide a lowering kit which helps lower the bike without softening the suspension. I heard it does it by 25 mm. Plus you could just cut the seat a bit to get other 25 mm down which makes the bike almost 776 mm approx. I think that is enough even for short riders(even 5.2-5.3).

I was a Duke 390 owner before. I agree with all demerits stated in the video except the speed. Portraying "Too Fast" a minus point is not acceptable. I would rather call it a supporting reason to invest on a bike. Scared of speeds? KTMs are not one for you.

General Tip: a tip for a smoother ride, be lighter than the bike by atleast 40kgs you will definitely have a great ride

i have had 390 Duke for over 3years and initially i did experience overheating issue but i realized the knack of riding it in bumper too bumper traffic and then on i have never faced the overheating problem. it does get hot given its a high compression single cylinder. best way to keep it under control during bumper to bumper is to never simply rev it.

I think it is a pretty subjective matter. I'm in love with my Duke as it is so light weight that weaving through and taking off from traffic is just a bliss.
The real issue I agree is over-heating, but EngineIce coolants seems to work the magic for me. Another technical issue is the gear lever which loses its groove and grip too often. Again, this depends on how you ride.

Some of the problems we mentioned are specific to the Duke and RC 390.
MotorBeam i agree it is not comfortable as any of the india road bikes the ridding position is aggressive of both, it has made with one aim only to carve out coners to set tracks on Fire to break lap records, when you going in that direction always comfort takes a back seat. So don't critisize the machine please. don't do it
But most people aren't aware of the lack of comfort.

My friend who was a pillion on my Rc390 fell in the same manner because of the high throttle and he got bruises on his legs n arms.. Luckily i wasn't at high speed
