“Oh my, she was born with a mike in her hand!” - that comment was made below a CZcams video of Diana singing as a child. From her early years she has performed on stage and regularly taken part in various concerts and events. She has similarly won the hearts and sympathies of public audiences and professional juries alike, making fans of them all.
Diana has topped many vocal contests - on a regional scale, all-Russian and international - and received dozens of prizes and awards.
In 2017 Diana became known to a wider audience after she took part in the The Voice Kids contest on the Russian First Channel with a Jodel Time song. It was the first and only time an ordinary contestant was included in the World’s Top-5 by The Voice Global (The Voice Kids | MOST SURPRISING and SHOCKING Blind Auditions [PART 3]). She had won the hearts of hundreds of thousands of listeners with this performance.
In the same year she was awarded the Gold Medal of 2017 Youth Delfic Games of Russia in the category of Pop Singing.
In 2018 Diana won the vocal show “You Are Super!” on the NTV Channel in Russia. Her performance of ‘Derniere Dance’ became one of the top-viewed Russian videos on CZcams in 2018 with tens of millions views.
In the same year she won the Audience Choice Award at the “New Wave Junior - 2018” contest.
In 2019 she was invited once again to participate in the “You Are Super! Superseason” show and was awarded with the Grand-prix.
The covers she performed on that show are very popular on CZcams. Many CZcamsrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", and others.
Diana’s participation in these contests, her wins, and high viewing numbers on CZcams, have brought her a whole army of fans in Russia and abroad.
The song Rechenka (River)was from the first season that she competed in the show. The grand Prix was with, Blizzard, Wicked game and Human in the finals.. A true diamond in this world
Another adult left speechless by Diana. Yes, no effects here - it is a talent contest for kids (she's 15 here). She's world class. Next you should find out about her story as a child, what she went through. After being adopted by her current mother and the gift a friend heard in her voice to suggest singing lessons. She since has won around 40 to 50 singing competitions both nationally and internationally before coming to the show “You are Super”. She won two years in a row. That show you will see most of her best song performed. As it is a singing competition there is not any mechanical changing of the voice. She has her own CZcams channel with just about any song that she performed.
You should react to “Yodel time” next to better understand how she is able to smoothly transition her singing voice from high to low or Vice versa. Diana is a rare true Contralto which is the lowest female voice .
Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.

Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from classical singing....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is polyphonic voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result.
This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya, the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6!
This broadcast is "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old. In this shows Diana is directing, arranging and preparing her performances herself. She's a real creator. In addition, her costumes are designed and sewn by her mother and grandmother since she was 5.

People seem to have missed your reaction . Don't know why, its worth watching. I came here from the Diana fan page on fb.
There is lots more to see and hear of Diana. She likes to explore different musical styles. Her performances on this Russian talent show are all different and all amazing. But the owners are pretty protective of their copyright, making it difficult for reactors.
Subsequently (and previously actually) Diana has produced a lot of work, now often performing on small stages, or even in her flat during lockdown. Sometimes the sound recording is not too professional but Diana always brings something unique and special to her songs.

Those are two examples of people using this vocal technique in the past. This is not a new style but just one that has not yet become widely popular on mainstream radio. Stevie Nicks was criticized in the 1970s by some who don't matter, and now times have changed enough thanks to those daring ones like Stevie who came before so that Diana can get the recognition she deserves. Diana belongs on the radio along with legends and queens like Stevie.

Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary.
After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted children. She refused and in 2012 her family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
Diana's voice, her perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so she impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
In 2017 she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Diana sang 'Yodel-Time' czcams.com/video/vKdvaWsd91Q/video.html but none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. What happened? Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition.
A door had closed but a new door opened:
In 2018/19, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international competition instead of "You are Super", especially for adopted and orphaned children. The winner of the season (Diana) will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to CZcams and soon she had millions of fans.
Diana won also a scholarship to the College of Music. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow. So, she could start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy (She died of Covid-19 in October 2020).
The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard to bring back the lost high notes and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 to D6. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity.
She loves to sing in French, but also sings in English, German, Arabic and Spanish... but only phonetically.
But she is not only a great singer and storyteller, but also a humble, intelligent and hardworking young woman. She also gives charity concerts. She loves her family and her fans. They are 'friends' to her and they are very supportive of her. Diana is grateful that they helped improve her home studio and also supported her future plans. Her Russian Friends have chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).
2020 Diana graduated from high school a year earlier, as an external student and now, she is a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (similar to Juilliard). She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own song soon.
She will only take part in major competitions if invited. Such competitions require a lot of time, effort and strength. As a result, participants often have large educational gaps and problems later on. Diana is a smart young woman. She focuses on her studies, her voice and expanding her repertoire.
