This guy was just fantastic as Koba!
Totally!
this guy was a total badass in this movie!!
In the scene where Koba was like: "Where Ceaser? Want Ceaser! Ceaser!!!"
That was just briljant for me...
1LIFEtoWIN true that
Just saw the film. My god. Best film of the summer and definitely one of the best of the year. Kebbell's performance in this film is Oscar worthy. Almost outshines Caesar and one hell of a villain.
I said right after the movie, Koba should win best villain.
Toby Kebbell, the most underrated actor ever.
Toby Kebbell is such a brilliant versatile actor - one of the best in my opinion around today.Toby has such a great presence and cant wait to see this film..
I strongly agree with you.
For some reason I just cant stop comparing Koba to Scar and Ceasar to Mufasa.. its an interesting thought imo
Linkan yup exactly my thoughts
I can see the caesar and mufasa, natural born leaders but not scar and koba. Scar was a just big petty coward, koba, despite him turning bad, is strong and smart and could be a good leader too if he didn't have so much hate which would be his downfall. I can however, understand his hate towards humans but it is his hate that is the cause of his demise.
If Toby and Andy don't get Oscar nominations I'll be beyond peeved!!! Seen this movie twice already, and I can't wait til awards season so this film gets the recognition it truly deserves!! :o)
What made Koba a great villain is that he is the Anti-Thesis to Caesar, Caesar's true opposite, this is because unlike Caesar, Koba saw all that was evil in human as he was abused by Jacobs at Gen-Sys,where Caesar was raised by a loving family, this is in true Comic book Thesis and Anti-thesis fashion. It is interesting that Koba is the hidden and true villain of the first movie because he released the ALZ-113 virus on the humans knowingly after he said "Amun" making him the first Ape to speak in these movies, and as Toby says, he doesn't know how to be an Ape from all his time in the Lab.
Most actors are very vague about their roles. This guys mentions details that you would never notice unless he told you.
He played koba well...that voice doesn't look like it came from this guy
one of the best actors of his generation.
this guy was fucking great in rocknrolla. very underrated actor.
👌 agree !
In COUNSELOR ... one scene with just a few lines , fantastiqué !
He sounds so much more lively in this interview than he does in his interview for Fant4stic. Maybe that's because Matt Reeves had a clear, concise vision of "Dawn" and was able to guide the actors. Unfortunately, Josh Trank had one idea, but the studio had another, so the actors were getting mixed signals.
He nailed the role of Koba, he would kill as Doom too, I hope.
koba is a great character.
With his performance here, now I'm looking forward to what he can bring to Doctor Doom.
Watch War Horse, the Escape Artist and Rock'n'Rolla now.
Oh I've seen those. Also seen him in Wrath of the Titans.....my main focus is his voice, similar to Bane once he puts on the mask..his voice will be the main part of his performance for Doctor Doom, just like for this role.....which was wonderful.
Check him out in Dead Mans Shoes if you haven't already. He is so great in that film.
His english accent 😭💘💘💘
His representation was awesome
Genial el trabajo que hizo en Dawn.
Habló poco, pero la presencia del personaje y el toque que le dio el actor... genial. Sin palabras.
one of the most under rated actors today
I cannot believe Koba is Anthony from Dead Man's Shoes...
He is amazing at his at work. Beautiful man as well!!
Brutal acting skil!! Those mouth wide and fury in him eyes!!
Damn, seeing the actor to Koba is like taking the beard off a shopping centre santa. The magic goes with it xD.
Look at what he did with Koba, and now he gets to play Doom? Awesome! Can't wait.
he is very talented since rock n rolla he was awesome
He is so f*ck*ng hot….
this guy a badass
this guy is fine......nice lips
It's Durotan!
Can't wait to see this guy play Doom
Bet you were disappointed
I actually think he was okay as doom.
This is why Koba has English accent.
koba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What happened to his arm?
i think its part of the mo cap suit
Oh.
Nick Thurston (plays Blue Eyes) said it was broken.
Yup, these movies make never want to go to a zoo or for sure a circus, as the animals are so abused 😣
Is Koba the bastard brother of Scar from The Lion King ?
I'm thinking more like Gulums hated brother.
He's the same guy that koba kills ,weird
