@XXYungLordXX, I can't believe this song will forever remind me of a legend during my lifetime. This is how it's going down means more to me today than ever before. RIP DMX...
I cant lie. If you are over 30, it saddens me that we don't have music like this anymore, makes me sad. We had the best music ever, and nothing can ever change this.
I don't know if it's the best music. Its that rap/hip hop was tryin to make a name for itself because rap was looked down upon as no good music.Rap was tryin to find its identity to belong in music period because there was rock, country, reggae,r and b,heavy metal, house music, instrumental orchestra, band, and pop.countrRap didn't deserve to be in a category. Now it's in a category of its own genre.Rap hip hop is the most popular music in the u.s.Others countries are immulating it with thier language. But rap was born here in the U.S. in inner city neighborhoods in New York,Los Angeles,Chicago, and Houston.Look it up on you tube popular music rap blows everything out the water because there is alot of money in the hip hop entertainment. It found its identity and it won.I like rap but other look at me crazy because they like old rock, country music, heavy metal them dudes are cool cuz they like rap too.But those country music and old rock don't respect hip hop.To each and there own taste of music, but I think all other music is garbage Rap I can relate cuz I grew up in a tough inner city in a major city and I could relate cuz they went through the same shit I went through. ✌.
You guys really have to stop with this “millennials” stuff. I’m a millennial and I’m 37, I grew up in the 90’s. I remember it vividly and miss it everyday lol. You mean to say “Gen Z”. They are the young kids in their teens and 20’s who weren’t actually around back then. Us millennials were literally raised in the 90’s. Lol

If you’re not from NYC, Yonkers, white plains, you won’t know what that last scene with the fire hydrants means to a kid growing up in the city during the summer time. Dang this song takes me back. Now I made it in life, got out the hood became an attorney, got married, had kids then became a stay at home mom, saw the world with my family and these memories seem like a life time away. Love to all the real ones! ❤
I had just beaten cancer and was 22 living a block off south st in philly...this song was being played nonstop by every car passing that street corner...summer of 1998....hope u make it!!
I have the best memories too! My brother who was in high school drove me to middle school and this was a cd we kept in rotation daily. He died in 2006 of a congenital heart problem 😭 but this will always take me to a place of good memories ❤️
Summer of 1998, I'm from Jersey but I went to the Greek picnic at Fairmount Park that year and X had it on smash. Every car that drove by seemed to be bangin Ruff Ryders Anthem. People were on top of cars, it was females everywhere, of course there was some gunshots and it was just crazy. Tracy Lee performed The Theme at the park and after that X's music was just bangin everywhere.RIP to the dog!
Everything about this song and video is perfect. The Story DMX told. The vocals Faith Evans laid (she put her soul into 5 words "All I want is you"), the cinematography, especially the slow motion, the cameos, even the movie promo billboard. This was an epic time in music and probably my favorite video of all time.

I had this CD in high school
DMX and his music is embedded in my childhood. A true legend and the ultimate lyricist. ❤️❤️

Legend never Dies, Guys please don't do drugs and don't let any negative energy finish a god gift called LIFE
Amen. # TRUTH TOLD
Well said.
I know ... I am praying for my oldest son to stop. Pray for me too, please. My prayers for all those struggling be healed.
@@aqueenofheart6632 praying for you. I've been struggling with it forever, I fight it everyday, been clean since my son was born in 2015. He is my motivation, I'm all that he has, I live for taking care of myself and him now. People touch us in different ways everyday and can change us. May God bless you and your son. I put my mama through a lot of pain with my addiction, and I am thankful that she got to see me clean before she passed, she died in a car accident 2 years ago, and I got full custody of my son 4 days later. That was a sign from God, I miss her everyday.
