Seriously considering a "While were here we might as well" themed shirt...
www.NineONineSpeedCompany.com
just have the shirt say, “while we’re here, might as well!” and put a stick figure shrugging underneath or something. EVERYONE has been down that hole at least once in their lives🤣
do it
Might as well while we’re here sounds perfect totally would get one
while were here shirt idea. you with your arms up standing in front of the truck with the front clip off with the text saying while were here?
Please so jt i would buy one for sure
I never seen one man so hard on engines that know the limitations on a stock one ***Update*** This
Engine is still running
This must be the story of anyone who works on old cars and trucks. "I'm just gonna do the front brakes" to "May as well refresh the rings while I'm in here".
“It’s only 13 bolts and the front end comes off, a quick reseal on the motor and it’s back together again”
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
13 bolts, 20 mins 😅
You can get a power steering controller for the Volvo pump, it lets you “tune” the pump so you can get the full pressure from the pump … it runs and works perfectly with just the signal wire hooked up but it runs in default mode, default mode is about 50% power of the pump
Hope this helps, the build is dope my dude !!!!
Man that Focus interior is nostalgic for me. It was my first car. Manual everything but it was solid and nothing broke for 70,000 miles till it got t-boned. I know you got it as a "daily" but some SVT mods would be sweet!
I had a 2003 svt focus that I wish I still had. Pretty cool little car
He always does mods to his daily’s eventually if they stick around😂
Seen on Sleeper dude using a small kids swimming pool for the Radiator drain, worked real slick no mess.
If you can get lucky and find some closed chamber heads it would bump that power up and cure your exhaust flange problem..
I pulled the NP435 and Dana 20(separately) out of my 1970 F100 during the middle of a Wisconsin winter, by hand, in an unheated garage. Those 4 speeds are no joke, and the Dana 20 wasn't exactly a treat either being a cast case, gear drive transfer.
This is going to be amazing!! Crew cab deserves it, such a cool rig!!
That 'while im here' syndrome is real.
I went in just to do a body mount and now im doing full floor pans and a firewall.
And that Np435 should be sitting right around 120 lbs with the shift tower
Dude Craig you gotta swipe up a supercharged 4 banger from an SVT and build a sleeper Focus!😂👍
Don't give him any ideas, he doesn't need a daily driver for his daily driver for his daily driver for his daily driver at this point
Supercharged focus go brrrrrr
Buddy of mine had a Chevy that looked just like that dually. Nice to see it
Pulled the 390 out of mine as well for the pan. I was getting low oil pressure and figured the pickup tube was plugged. If I didn’t also have a set of heads for it I would have done it inboard but give. The need for heads in yanked it all. Now it’s getting a dingle ball rebuild.
That drive shaft removal gave me feeling I can’t explain or understand 😂
I can't believe those bumperettes came off so easy. I've always had to fight with them.
I run a Volvo PS pump in my bumpside. It’s tucked into the driver side wheel well behind a quarter turn panel. Works like a charm for the Crown Vic rack.
Great job Craig! Good to see you motivated working with a good group of people around you !
Love this truck! Can't wait to see it going again. Hopefully getting some inspiration for my own rebuild.
Those oil pumps are a great idea! Guess I know what I'm looking for at the junkyard this weekend to score a few for the next project I'm working on...
You should be able to find them on most of the european platform Fords made within the past 15 years or so. So, 2011 or newer Explorer, etc...
Noice!!! Doin thangs with pains. Love the hustle keep up the good work and great content
Keep doing what you’re doing, man love the content😊
I have that exact same power steering set up on my 78’ f-150 with a crown Vic swap! Love it and it works awesome!!
You are a brave soul.Pulling an FE WITH the granny transmission using on the studs that hold the carb on! I dont think that I could
You do amazing work and everything gets better and better Craig!! Keep it up man!!
I know you like the camper, I do too dude, but this is the perfect opportunity for a patina utility bed, I absolutely love old lifted long utility bed trucks, just think of it towing the bug to the desert and having all your tools in the bed sides ready for when you blow it up again
If you're core support is rusty, a dent support swaps right in, just have to drill iirc 7 holes, two for the latch and the rest for the inner fender bolts.
I swapped one into my '71 f100
What a bunch of killer crew cabs.
I’m not trying to be that guy….. but I think you know those exhaust flanges need repairing, which means heads coming off. Man…. You are 3/4 of the way to a rebuild or at least a freshen up with rings and bearings. Plus a rv style grind cam could help pulling. You are already there man keep going you’re not that far off.
For catching the coolant, I usually clean out an oil drain tray(like the one you have in the background at 18:55) and a transmission drain pan. The thing is so wide that it almost never makes a mess when draining coolant. Then dump the coolant into a 5 gallon bucket and put clean rags over top of it to keep the crap out.
That Pittsburgh catch tray looks completely useless splashing coolant all over the floor.
great stuff guys thanks
Love the truck content 😎🏴☠️
Mad man! Love it.
Lol what did i just say while we are here lol 34:42 cant wait man
Great episode!!
I’ve definitely “might as well-ed” my self out of way more money than I’d like to admit.
As I’m sitting here taking a break from putting a new floor in my gym where I might as well-ed a closet and clad the walls with plywood and debating pot lights. 😂😂😂
Og know that’s his second focus🤣
I was waiting for a prostrate joke when you drained the radiator. For your friends Mercury truck they ought to consider putting in a Mercury SB4 engine.
Great video!! More please 🙏🏼
You got it apart you just will put aluminum heads and intake. That’ll fix your exhaust problems.
The volvo pumps are cool, make sure you get the controller to adjust speeds and pressures
“Might as well… while we are here…” such a Legendary Phrase!
Tear it up, Craig 😅😅😅 Truck needs some love
The Milwaukee saw makes a great wrench!!
Love the shirt idea and the truck vlog is great. Now can we please start on the fox.
Love your show been watching it since you got your F100 I have a 1973 F100 3 speed on the column
While I'm here, today is Saturday and I'm waiting on your next video. Can't wait to hear it fire up next time I'm here
love the guys over at crown automotive.
My 65 Galaxie was supposed to be brakes and it’s good to drive. 2 years later, a 390 rebuild, manual swap, rear end rebuild with 4.11’s, all new suspension front and back and new brakes it’s almost ready to drive for the first time
Drain the oil let it sit for a day or so and use a syringe with a tube to suck the rest out spray brake clean in and suck that out or let it evaporate then you should be fine. I've been in your spot and that's what I did it worked great
Don't worry your not the only one that pulls apart multiple vehicles at once. I currently have 5 projects on the go... One is supposed to be the tow pig but it needs a transmission so why not convert it to 4wd. And that's not to mention the big long term project I have only collected parts for and the 2 my dad just got.
While we are here just put aluminum fe heads and solve problem ? Wished you were on the east coast I could hook you up on core support, inner fenders, hardware. I have rebuilt 4 of the bump side's (68,69,69, 70) Have lots of extra original parts. Cool project.😁👍👍
The focus you will want to replace the plastic thermostat housing with an aluminum racing one. the plastic ones are very prone to warping and happens on every focus, also kills alot of them
Dave with a Moto XXX shirt.. he’s an OG!
I buy extended brake lines for my builds from Crown Performance, solid company and great service.
That’s a cool truck !!!
Yes Indeed. MORE Crew cab content
The crew cab needs some love😊❤️👊👍
The focus has a longer wheelbase than the mustang of the same era. You should put a 5.0 in there! Someone made a swap kit for them years ago.
Maaaaaan this would ruin me it would turn into well while we are here lets... 17:27 respect it man love your way of thinking
I have thought of using one of those Volvo power steering pumps on my own car. I work at a Volvo specialty shop, we have three or four of those pumps hanging around.... also the S40/V50/C30/C70's are based of a Ford Focus/Mazda 3 chassis.
The crew cab needs the 7.3 Godzilla instead of a coyote or diesel.
Exactly what I was going to say. Might as well install a Godzilla!
@@VikingDane ..."While we're here..."
@@john242ti lol, yes John. I pretty much believe people understand after watching the video 🤦♂️
I'll buy the while we're shirt. I use that phrase a lot. 😂
That cool trucks
Love this truck.
Make the shirt a pic of the crew cab w/ out the front clip saying “while we’re here..” w 909 logo on chest. Would be fire
My first truck was a 68 bump side swb complete restoration in 96 i totaled it two hours after first drive and the only part of the truck without damage was the tailgate and rear bumper which I still have in the shed. 429 cobra jet with c6 and 373 gears the impact literally busted the engine block. I’ve been trying to find another 68 swb to build my for my last truck and use the two pieces from the original truck.
Ford produced those electric power steering pumps for the Ford C-Max, Focus, and Kuga.
While we're in here, might as well... install a 3g alternator and electric fans with a pulsewidth modulated controller for a soft start/ramp up feature.
I can see you jokers sitting around drinking your wine coolers comparing moustaches. Mines bigger, yeah but mines hairier.
LOL, right, it's like kissing a toothbrush🪥, try kissing each other to see how it feels. I feel sorry for the girls or guys that have to kiss that bristle brush, and no it does not feel good on the kitty😿. That's a myth. Plus it looks ridiculous. Hopefully you will realize one day, when you are older and more mature.
“While we’re here” is the epitome of my life
Kidnergadner 😂
STROKERRR
Run over to Walmart and get a cheap plastic kiddie pool and use that to drain your coolant into. Josh over at SleeperDude is the one who gave me the idea. I saw someone else had posted it as well.
you got pead on lol by your truck your doing a good job
If it's a 390 rotating assembly "while your there" I would put a set of flat top pistons and a nice cam in it, that's all they need to really wake them up
If you do need a engine rebuild I recommend xtrene performence. Full rebuild for around 2k
I was wondering how youd do this to an old ford with the volvo pump. If you ever see a single cab bump side in the same color combo as yours in San Diego its probably mine.
Dang I need that tailgate
The ball on the shifter base pushes down and turns so you can remove it.
Should have used flex seal the paste stuff, it works
While where here hold my beer and watch me do some magic!!
While you are in there, saw in a 5 gear!!
Time for a fuel injected 460 might as well and stroker . I mean your already there.
Nice! I wish I had enough sense to do good video editing for CZcams, I’d post videos of my obs build
ya if there's oil on the other side,no matter what it is,you'll never get it welded, same with water tank ,exc.
Jesus Christ! I could hear the dirt scratching the phuc outta the paint when he was “color sanding”.
What trans and bell housing do you have on it? I’ve been thinking of putting a manual behind my fe and I would love to do it with some cheap original parts
You can use a couple green scratch pads on top of your drain pan to make it splash proof
The CrewCab is my favorite vehicle on the channel
Duuuude, Kugel Komponents sells kits to put 5.0s, and 8.8s, into the Ford Focus...
Bro all i wanna do is take my truck to a meet and meeet qweg and honestly itd be awesome to have him teach me some tips and tricks on my two vehicles, already have learned so much off his content
well that escalated quickly
I saw that you needed a front sump FE oil pan on your insta, if you still need one, I have one in Rancho Cucamonga for $50. I know that is a little far for you, but thought I'd offer.
Nice !!!!!352 FE???
Dude what lights do you run in your trucks?! i want those for my 67 mustang.
That old truck said nope bro...get off my lawn
7.3L Godzilla swap would be rad.
The mustang long block saying “look at me” “you see me”
"im not gonna rebuild this motor" DANG IT😔
