Thanks for allowing enough time to actually look at the photographs
And yet again you have made the start of the weekend a very nice one. Thank you, very much.
Great video. There were a couple of photos with captions mixed up and should have been the other way around (the photo of the boy scouts and the photo of the uniformed men sitting around a desk). One photo is supposed to be Chicago, but it looks like the Washington Monument is in the background which of course is in DC, and one photo was supposed to be State Street in 1907, but there wasn't a single automobile to be seen -- totally horse-drawn vehicles only. By 1907, there would have been automobiles certainly on such a main street as State Street, so my guess is that photo was taken a number of years early -- maybe at most 1900.
I noticed the Washington Monument as well
Thanks for sharing this amazing video ❤🎉
Thank you for your comment
My grandmother was born in Chicago in 1899, so it was nice to see sights she might have seen in her early childhood. They moved away in about 1908.
Love the music ❤ great photos

Being born in Chicago circa 1953, I love the pics!
But why I am posting is, I fell in love with the the horn (trombone?) music starting at 1:40.
Any chance you can share with us this song's name and band?
Thanks in advance.

Chicago never was as vibrant as New York. In fact, it has gotten worse these days..
I just returned from a vacation in Chicago you have lost your mind. Chicago is gorgeous the river the lakefront, the Downtown Michigan Ave., Lincoln Park. You evidently have not been to Chicago in years so much to do restaurants. The theater, the arts, the museums every weekend in the summer. There are festivals in neighborhoods. I’m on my way. Oh my God, the food, the Riverwalk take a ride on the riverboat look at the beautiful architecture. The triune building which is one of a kind is now condos. - Ny is beautiful . So is Chicago. .
